Hey all,

You've voted, and I can reveal your 8 male finalists have been chosen and here they are;

John Lennon
The Beatles

Born in Liverpool on October 9th 1940, he co-founded the band along with fellow band mates Paul McCartney and George Harrison. The Beatles went on to become the biggest boy band in the world. In the UK alone, they released 12 studio albums, 13 EP's and 22 singles, of which 17 were #1 singles. John Lennon continued to enjoy a successful solo career which included 3 UK #1 singles. His tragic death in 1980 left a gaping hole in the world but his music would live on to this day and the sentiments still felt by a new generation of listeners.

Justin Timberlake
*NSync

Heartthrob Justin Timberlake emerged on the scene in the late 90's as frontman to boy band *NSync whose style of music was not too dissimilar to Backstreet Boys at the time. The group had a relatively short lifespan which lasted around 5 years. In that time they released 3 studio albums and 18 singles. When Justin Timberlake launched his solo career in 2002, there was much anticipated surrounding his prospects and upon immediately striking a partnership with Timbaland, he was on target for some heavy chart success in the years to come. To date, Justin Timberlake has released 4 studio albums and over a dozen singles, along with many featured appearances on other singles. He has also enjoyed relative success as an actor too.

Michael Jackson
Jackson 5

Pop icon Michael Jackson is known worldwide for his unique voice and charismatic dance routines. Known as the King of Pop, MJ has become one of the most successful musicians of all time. Starting off as just a small boy within the Jackson 5, he was the voice that sold such timeless records as ABC, Blame It On The Boogie and I Want You Back. He began his solo career in 1971 and by the early 80's became a dominant figure in the music world. His 1982 album titled Thriller remains the biggest selling album in the world, selling in excess of 65 million copies. His cleverly choreographed music videos remain a popular watch on YouTube today.

Nathan Sykes
The Wanted

Starting off as one fifth of The Wanted, Nathan Sykes has only quite recently begun his journey as a solo artist. Whilst in his group, he helped to claim 9 Top 10 singles and 2 #1 singles. The Wanted have released 3 studio albums since they formed in 2009. Nathan Sykes only took off as a solo artist in 2015, and he has had 3 Top 40 singles so farm and worked with artist such as Ariana Grande and G-Eazy.

Nick Jonas
Jonas Brothers

3 brothers started up a pop rock band in 2005 simply called Jonas Brothers. They worked closely with some Disney projects, including having their own TV show on the Disney channel. As a band, they released 4 studio albums. Their highest charting single in the UK was S.O.S. Joe Jonas was the first brother to launch a solo career, and Nick Jonas followed shortly after. Nick has recorded 3 studio albums as a solo artist and has a UK #2 single to his name. The future looks bright for this rising star.

Robbie Williams
Take That

British entertainer Robert Peter Williams has enjoyed two separate stints as a member of Take That. Often overshadowed by fellow band mate Gary Barlow, Robbie decided to embark on his solo career in the late 90's and is still going today. As a solo artist, Robbie Williams has released 11 studio albums, 7 UK #1 singles and has won a record 18 Brit Awards— more than any other artist. He has collaborated with big names such as Kylie Minogue, Queen, Maxi Jazz and The Pet Shop Boys. His records sales stands at over 77 million worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time.

will.i.am
The Black Eyed Peas

Singer-songwriter and all round record producer will.i.am came on the scene in the early 00's as a co-founder of The Black Eyed Peas. Prior to forming The Black Eyed a Peas, Will 1X (as he was then known) worked closely with Eazy-E who signed him as an artist. It was not until the introduction of Fergie in 2003 that the band gained worldwide attention and started to gain a run of hits. The Black Eyed Peas went on to become a household name going on to sell an estimated 76 million records making them one of the worlds best-selling groups of all time. will.i.am began a notable solo career in 2007, but has continued to work closely with The Black Eyed Peas. He has enjoyed success working with artists such as Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and others.

Zayn
One Direction

It was on The X Factor in 2010 that 5 boys, who all auditioned as individuals, were put together to form a boy band. That boy band would go on to be known on the world stage as One Direction. The boys have released 4 studio albums, which Zayn helped to co-write. In early 2015 it was announced that Zayn Malik would be departing from the group to work on solo material. The results of that solo material was revealed to the world in February 2016 with the release of debut solo single Pillowtalk. The song was a #1 hit in 7 countries, and the accompanying debut album repeated the same success. His latest solo project is a collaboration with Taylor Swift for the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Darker.

Michael Jackson! He broke down racial barriers with his music and it had that timeless quality to it. Off the Wall is nearly 40 years old yet to me it sounds fresh. heart.gif

That said, I was about to vote for Zayn - unfortunately it's not multiple choice. laugh.gif
