Dennis Lloyd Nevermind - Chart Statistics NE (10/02/2018) | 28-15-11-6-14-19-24-32-37-56-72-76-90-xx Video Commentary Another song who's chart run was distoreted by the Eurovision takeover, at least this one managed to crack the Top 10 before everything was cruelly pushed out. Unlike many artists where I've known the song for months before it cracks the chart, I didn't even know this existed until it began making tracks on Spotify. On first listen I thought this sounded amazing and just WANTED it to be a hit, and thankfully it was. I was hoping that Israel could get two Top 40 hits in one week with Dennis and Netta but unfortunately neither were Top 40 when it came to Eurovision week. Both weer Top 100 though so yay. My Indigo My Indigo - Chart Statistics NE (17/12/2017) | 29-27-14-10-10-10-11-8-24-49-83-95-xx Video Commentary I honestly don't think I can watch that video again, it's so emotional But the song remains amazing, the vibes remind me of a song from maybe the late 90s and the melody is just beautiful. Takes me back to December when I was first listening to it, nostalgia really takes up too much of my life Anyway, its repeak came when it was sent to BJSC by you-know-who, hence the massive drop-off the week after (I'm glad things like that don't happen as much in my chart nowadays!). I hope she releases something else decent soon. Top 100 Chart History 2018 08 My Indigo |

It's not the end of the year yet tho!
Smart starting it early tho tbh as I never ebded up finishing mine last year oops. Idk what I will do this year. So much work gone into this, its looking fab! Great read. Some heavy hitters dropping out already too like Shotgun and Fuego! As for My Indigo, that will chart for me too if I do one :') a real find This post has been edited by M˙rtleSnow: 10th December 2018, 11:34 AM |

Great read. Some heavy hitters dropping out already too like Shotgun and Fuego! As for My Indigo, that will chart for me too if I do one :') a real find I think the key to getting it done is just to speed through it as quickly as possible. I've failed at that the last two years though oops! I think the further on I get the less songs people will know but I hope you'll all stick around! Thanks Jupiter Yay at Nevermind making it to your countdown. Thanks Dalek 'Nevermind' is such an earworm Will be much higher in my EOY! It's one of the highest mainstream songs in my countdown, hope you'll find some more songs you like as I go on though! Thanks Jordan |

Deepend To Rome (ft. Janieck) - Chart Statistics NE (10/03/2018) | 13-7-4-6-12-15-25-37-46-54-72-81-98-xx Video Commentary Blimey, what a clunky video. Anyway, here's Janieck's sole entry in the Top 100 this year (his collaborator on one of the best songs ever, Lost Frequencies, manages somehow to get more songs in even though Janieck really made Reality what it is). This is a collaboration with Deepend, who I honestly didn't realise had had that many songs in my chart. This is once again another showcase of Janieck's voice, and Deepend's additions with the creation of that beautiful melody just make the song what it is. GIVE IT A LISTEN! SAINT PHNX ONE - Chart Statistics NE (16/06/2018) | 83-59-32-19-14-10-12-22-34-52-63-74-95-xx Video Commentary So this indie-pop duo was a new one on me this year, and it's probably a new one on you as well. Which means that this song had to have been amazing to crack my chart - and it was. All the lyrics are incredibly catchy, and the song itself sounds so uplifting (even if it's maybe not meant to oops). It's just the sort of song you want to hear midway through the year when you're sick of all the experimental stuff and you just want a good indie track. I'll certainly be keeping my eyes out for these guys over the next year, and their new single Deadmen could crack my Top 40 in the coming weeks! (I still don't really understand why he says he'll be the one 'like a shot from a loaded gun' though, are gunshots considered to be 'the one'? ) Top 100 Chart History 2018 10 ONE 2018 48 Deadmen |

Boston Bun Spread Love (Paddington) (ft. DVNO) - Chart Statistics NE (04/08/2018) | 30-6-1-4-8-13-23-36-47-68-85-95-xx Video Commentary Aaand there goes another #1. This funky summer dance smash by French outfit Boston Bun featuring DVNO (who I've called DNVO in all of my charts oops) was amazing for... well, the summer holidays. Unfortunately my summer holidays tend to only be two weeks long, and it very quickly turned from an amazingly quirky dance hit that was always in my head to an odd gimmick. It was the only other summer dance track to get to #1 so that's an achievement at least. His new track 'Better Together' sounds a bit generic after what we've had so unfortunately looks like it won't make an appearance here. Sigrid High Five - Chart Statistics NE (02/06/2018) | 21-10-9-7-10-15-23-37-63-88-86-90-xx Video Commentary Not going to lie, I wasn't a massive Sigrid fan when her debut single came out (the one that kept going up and down iTunes that people were going crazy about and I've forgotten the name of ). I first found an interest when she won the BBC Music Award at the same time Strangers was out, and she soared up the charts. Strangers was a great song, but I think that this song is the unsung hero - it's amazing, and I don't think it would have spent more than a week in the Top 100 if it wasn't. Of course Strangers would become a hit, she'd just won the award and it was accessible enough. But the fact that this managed a decent run in the Top 100, even if it never made the Top 40, is an indicator of how good the song itself is. Shame Sucker Punch was horrendous Top 100 Chart History 2018 21 Strangers 2018 07 High Five 2018 76 Sucker Punch |

As it happens I actually do know Saint PHNX and nearly charted them earlier in the year too! Or maybe last year. I feel like I might have worked at an event with them or someone I knew did, the name rings a bell.
As for High Five I'm only just getting into that now, the name put me off before Strangers is my hit from her so far, Don't Kill My Vibe was I think the one that everyone liked but I preferred her earlier song Plot Twist! |

Really like "Nevermind", "To Rome" and "High Five" being there!
"Nevermind" has been a really huge hit where I live, "To Rome" was a really overlooked song for me and "High Five" is great, just like Sigrid herself! |

As for High Five I'm only just getting into that now, the name put me off before Strangers is my hit from her so far, Don't Kill My Vibe was I think the one that everyone liked but I preferred her earlier song Plot Twist! Let me know if you remember where you found out about them Have you heard ONE? I'd recommend if you haven't! I don't let names put me off songs really but it did take me a few listens to get into High Five, I started taking it for granted and then it came on and I was like 'ooh, what's this catchy piece' and it was Sigrid And yes it was Don't Kill My Vibe I think but those four words are the only ones I remember in the whole song Thanks Jupiter! Really like "Nevermind", "To Rome" and "High Five" being there! "Nevermind" has been a really huge hit where I live, "To Rome" was a really overlooked song for me and "High Five" is great, just like Sigrid herself! Nevermind was a massive hit everywhere I think! Shame we can't say the same for To Rome, Janieck really deserves more Thanks Sergej! I like Spread Love and High Five too Thanks Dalek! |

Lukas Graham Lullaby - Chart Statistics NE (03/11/2018) | 14-8-7-8-10-15-... Video Commentary So this is the first Lukas Graham track in the Top 100 (there'll be quite a few more, get used to seeing their name) and also the first song to appear that's still in my Personal Chart. After he tried to cram the fact his dad was dead into pretty much every song in his first album, this album is definitely more about moving on from his dad and focusing on his family (although there's still quite a few references to his dad in there). This one in particular is a song to his daughter, hence the name 'lullaby', and how he will always love her no matter what comes in the way. The lyrics are great but for this song it's the way he sings them that really gets it for me, another amazing slow song that I just love. lovelytheband these are my friends - Chart Statistics NE (28/07/2018) | 51-34-25-15-10-10-10-15-27-51-74-87-xx Video Commentary So this was the follow-up to magahit 'broken' which everyone except me discovered a year after its release and assumed it would smash over here, which unfortunately it hasn't (yet - I wouldn't put it past the UK public looking at how late we've taken up other tracks). This is probably on a similar level to broken, however managed the interesting feat of balancing exactly three weeks at #10 (although looking at how stagnant my charts were that summer it's not that amazing). I think the chorus, particularly the way it's sung so lazily, is a big plus for me, it's something that I can sing whenever in a sort-of weird voice and still manage to capture the essence of the song in my head. Still waiting for another single though. Top 100 Chart History 2018 11 broken 2018 10 these are my friends |

Barrington Levy) - Chart Statistics NE (17/03/2018) | 68-34-12-7-6-6-10-12-20-45-57-79-93-xx Video Commentary So here's the return of squeaky-voiced Krishane, this time collaborating with his dad Barrington Levy who's voice is pretty much exactly the opposite. Not really got much else to say about this one other than it's a bop and squiddly doddly diddly daddly etc. Top 100 Chart History Krishane 2016 12 Inconsiderate (Krishane ft. KT Tunstall The River - Chart Statistics NE (20/10/2018) | 30-20-14-17-20-21-19-19-26-... Video Commentary This is where I begin to think that my estimations were a little out as this had over 1000 point before I told myself to get real. It's had an impressive Top 40 run nonetheless. KT Tunstall is one of those artists I was brought up listening to (Black Horse and the Cherry Tree ) and who sort-of forgot to retire, meaning that we still get to hear her output in 2018. This is classic Tunstall and is really helped by the fact that I spontaneously start singing it whenever I'm near a river. I don't want to jump into the river though because that might hurt. Her new track Human Being will enter my chart this Saturday but unfortunately I can't really justify sticking in on her chart history now. Top 100 Chart History 2016 25 Evil Eye 2016 25 Maybe It's a Good Thing 2016 01 You Can't Always Get What You Want (Friends of Jo Cox ft.
