Been getting HUGE buzz just about everywhere. It currently has 100% at Rotten Tomatoes and I think it could go on to be a surprisingly huge, box office smash! Excited for this. Such an interesting and original idea! |

I saw this today overall it was good, felt a little slow in places and I wouldn't call it a horror, not really sure what I'd call it but it was freaky a bit , think I jumped once and that bits in the trailer. I was more scared by the trailer for Annabelle 2 before it

I was under the impression it wasn't meant to be a Horror but more a social satire

Just saw this. I enjoyed it a lot. Creepier than I thought it would be, but just as unique as I expected. My only criticism really, is that it got a bit generic towards the end, which is a shame considering how strong the first 3 quarters were, imo. Lots of underlying messages and undertones!
7.5/10 for me. |

I guess this sums up one of my problems with it, I hated the final section. I thought it started off well / interesting enough, but it kind of lost me as soon as the whole hypnosis thing started. Overall I just found it a bit strange and I didn't really 'get' it and don't understand why it's at 99% on RT??! Only a 5/10 for me at best |

Lots of underlying messages and undertones! 7.5/10 for me. I'd disagree with this, because for me it turned the genre on its head. Usually you get the killer, killing off all the victims one by one during the climax, but in this we had the victim killing all the killers off one by one instead |

I really liked it, I'm easily spooked so worried about disliking it but it wasn't too bad even though I was on the edge of my seat the whole time (Georgina was full-on terrifying though, easily my favourite character!). I love how there was a sense of dread throughout the whole film and there were so many thoughtful moments, you think the line about Jesse Owens is throwaway but then you find out about the grandpa and realise he was the one training at night and he put himself in a different body in order to be faster, really clever stuff when looking back on it after you find out how it pans out. Also, Catherine Keener did a great job too, her hypnotism scenes were so unnerving!

Just come back from watching this and this way exceeded my expectations. Although the plot felt slightly predictable they were a lot of moments that made you think differently about earlier events in the film. Really brilliant!

It wasn't what I expected and I didn't enjoy it very much. I was hoping for more of a 'laugh out loud' comedy based on a 'white girl brings black b/f home to meet middle-class parents' scenario, but I suppose that's probably been done too many times already.
