The third single from Tom Odell's second album Wrong Crowd has been confirmed as Here I Am after a play on Radio 1 during New Music Friday, as well as its music video release today!

Perfect choice, always screamed single to me but I wanted them to wait til the third single because it's a bit too similar to Magnetised to come straight afterwards I think, so I'm really glad we got Concrete in between. The singles have all been spot on anyway, for sure my favourites on the album. The video is good too, more interesting than I thought it was within the first minute laugh.gif

President Underwood couldn't get to his party? How outrageous! Doug should be doing something about this. laugh.gif

The song is average in my opinion.

Good choice
Single 2 should have been Wring crowd
instead of Concrete which is his worst single ever
Hope Constellations is single 4

Concrete isn't even close to being his worst single ever imo! It was definitely the best choice for single 2 I think.

Singles rank:

1. Another Love (doubt he'll ever top this masterpiece wub.gif)
2. Real Love
3. Magnetised
4. Concrete
5. Grow Old With Me
6. Can't Pretend
7. Here I Am
8. I Know
9. Hold Me

I actually love them all laugh.gif Although I do think Hold Me as a single was a mistake really, it never felt like that wide-appealing a song I don't think. Good thing Another Love swept that under the carpet laugh.gif

Concrete is album filler at best same as Hold Me or I Know. But actually the worst thing he's ever done is that Real Love cover. Not sure whose idea it was, epic fail, was the chance to get a good cover out there for the big audiences to know him and he totally ruined it with the most insipid cover ever (of an original that was insipid to start with)

his best are obviously Another Love and Magnetised, both songs are an 11 for me, Sense, Grow Old with Me and Can't Pretend are also very good together with Wrong Crwod and Constellations. The rest of songs are album material and fillers

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this then! Real Love is a beautiful cover, and it's helped along by the advert which I adore wub.gif I don't think it was an epic fail anyway, it gave him a second top 10 hit and whilst it wasn't as big as the two John Lewis songs before it, it still didn't do that badly.

Constellations is probably the best option for single #4, it would certainly help sell the album.

I adore the piano melody on this! wub.gif I'd love for this to be a Top 75 hit or at least give the album the huge boost it desperately needs.
