I haven't been here much over the last 2 weeks as i sadly lost my long term partner to a sudden illness.
As you can imagine the last fortnight has been extremely challenging and life changing since i lost him. It was nice to return to the forum today as a distraction if nothing else and catch up on all the Kylie action and there has been alot. |

It is an extremely difficult time but it is a time that requires effort to not sit around and stay idle.
I have a solid family and friends that are of great help which is a massive support. I do find music very therapeutic and the forum here serves as a distraction but is also enjoyable. |

So sorry to hear that Pippa, I'm sure it's a terrible time for you and while I know all of ys here dont actually know each other I hope we can be of some help if it's only for a distraction. Look after yourself and good that you have support around you.

Thank you everyone for you kind posts.
My motto is to take things hour by hour and put in the effort to push myself to do at least one job extra per day and it does help. Keeping busy is helping me but i still allow myself time to grieve. |

Other people close to me have suffered the terrible pain of loss and have told me the key is keeping busy and once you wake up get up as other wise it can lead to alot of overthinking which can lead to a downward spiral of emotions. While none of this easy i owe it to my partner to keep his memory alive and try and sustain my own life going forward. The heartbreak is painful but i can only lean to the belief he is now in a better place. |

The Magic FM was increasingly last night - held in a tiny venue in London Bridge, also lucky enough to meet Kylie again last night (Never sure how to post pictures here). Literally had the best night ever.
