I thought I'd like this, especially after Popjustice hyped it up too, but it's sounding very average to me. To me it doesn't sound like it has the potential to do an 'All About That Bass' or 'Call Me Maybe' as Popjustice seems to think it will.

Good track, very standout. Don't quite see it with quite that hit potential however...

I adore this but I too can't see the hit potential - but I'd love to be proved wrong. It's definitely different, and incredibly memorable/catchy, I'd love it to be a hit WW. To me it sounds more like a US top 20 or so that gets to #26 in New Zealand as well, but then I never thought All About That Bass for example would be so big.

Loved this! Much better than 'All About That Bass' and 'Call Me Maybe' put together. Intrigued to hear more from her.

Top 10 on US iTunes, can't wait to see it break out WW, if it does. Still doesn't sound like a breakout WW hit to me but it's doing so well in the US and it's so fierce, I love it.

Very catchy! I've not heard it since the day Jake posted this thread but the chorus is still going around in my head.

Liking this a lot! Seems like it has a good shot of crossing over to the UK, I'm sure at least Radio 1 would like it (as it does have a blues rock vibe in a similar way to a track like The Black Keys' "Gold On the Ceiling" for instance)

Oh I came across this a couple of months back whilst looking for Bjsc potentials. Not sure now why I didn't choose this because it's great. Liking the raspiness to her voice, something that seems to spark my interest in singers.
Very punchy country esque song to boot too. Would love it to be a hit over here |

I saw her supporting James Bay on Thursday night actually, she was pretty good and was very likeable too. Will this be a hit in the UK? I can't see it, it sounds like something Radio 1 wouldn't touch with a bargepole. Could get Radio 2 playlisting? I'd like to be proven wrong, the song has grown lots since I first heard it, but I just can't see it taking off in the UK.

a bit late to the party but this is a serious pop tune!!! [who would have thought after her shite bjsc entry eh?]
already starting to climb the UK iTunes chart (although it has fell a bit now cos giftcard effect) and R1 onboard so this should be a big hit in '16 |

Finally taken off after an appearance on Graham Norton last night. Really willing this on to at least become a long running top 10 hit. It's so infectious and has not tired in over 3 months either

OK, I was expecting to hate this due to the All About That Bass comparisons, but it's actually quite a catchy and likeable track (ATROCIOUS grammar of the title aside :/). Love the classic rock-esque vibes to it, the chorus bares quite a similarity to Porcelain Black's Swallow My Bullet (I think that was in BJSC like she was, so nice link there eh)
Wouldn't actually mind this dominating as it's clearly looking like doing, seeing the music video a lot more on the music channels. This post has been edited by Chez Wombat: Jan 23 2016, 01:25 PM |

Really pleased this is finally taking off, it's brilliant to see something different at the top end of the charts especially but it's just such a brilliant song. It's a perfect mix of the sort of southern country-rock I enjoy and a wide pop appeal.
