MAGIC! barely converting their singles success into album sales then...I thought they might manage a Gotye-esque top five with reasonable staying power but I'm not convinced that this won't just be a one week wonder now.

Sigma has re-entered according to the Chart Update at No40?

Whys his?

This is probably down to low sales, plus the track didn't drop out from the 40 by that much last week it was only down to #42. Not much to really shout about, tracks like this are going to appear a lot down the line.

Yeah I did think they might have done a Gotye/Passenger and managed a decent selling album despite being an obvious one hit wonder but it seems they're only gonna have a low top 20 album.

Just noticed Amazon MP3 have reduced loads of albums to £2.99 - Really hope that Foxes manages some kind of boost from it.

Tragic era for Pixie - Lead single exited the charts rather rapidly and the follow up missing the Top 100, Even the fact they were both 59p done little to help, Would not be surprised if the album missed the Top 30, Can see it ending up at #31 with a 1 week chart run cry.gif

I think you're right Jason, Vic Mensa was at 22 on the Wednesday update - but to be 36 or 37, whatever is more than I expected tbh. Really pleased that Jessie is on course for her first T40 hit.

Though we all know she should be on course for her first top 10 hit but hopefully that will come soon

I still think Jessie could scrape top 30 as long as she holds up on iTunes but I'm hoping she charts higher than Vic Mensa

Jessie's music is not remotely commercial though, although by rights 'Imagine It Was Us' should have been a big hit as a poppier sounding song and being incredible.

Barely anything to break up the album chart top 5 monotony even midweek this week. Likely back to an Ed/Dolly/Sam/George/Coldplay top 5 by Friday.

All is not lost, The almighty Sats will unleash their KILLER greatest hits upon the UK next week, and the album selling market shall be saved!

Ok, even I can't take this post seriously. laugh.gif

Night Light is quite pop sounding as well imo. Also the Disclosure remix of Running would probably do well in the charts, I used to hear that so much a year ago (probably a large part of the reason they got famous in the first place). But maybe it's too late now.

Or even the foolishly missed opportunity which was Disclosure's 'Confess To Me' (still loving this!)

That's great as well.

I do like F For You, but for it to be released twice was a bit much when they've got other potential chart hits on the album.

Running (Disclosure Mix) is basically the massive, massive chart hit that never was.

Oh well Jessie's album will be pretty huge, even more so than "Devotion" hopefully. She's got a solid fan base now, she's just not a singles artist that's all.

She's doing well on itunes pre orders which is a good sign. Still, Devotion got to GOLD, I can't see it doing any worse than that
