Video as been shot and the track has been released on iTunes today. You can buy the clean or explicit version biggrin.gif

Dissapointing tbh. You would think after the fantastic "Battlefield", "No Air" etc, all of which have killer choruses, she would come back with a banger, but this is sort of boring.

It sounds very Cassie - "Me & U", which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Isn't this only from the mixtape though? Not the 3rd album.

Nothing on the mixtape was amazing but it was a pretty nice listen. 'Bye Felicia' being the title still gets me laugh.gif

It is getting added to the album from what shes said, so I presume it is the first single since her album is out this year

Here is the clean version for those who aren't fans of swearing laugh.gif

I find this attempt at the urban market a bit embarrassing tbh.

Fair enough if she was bringing something new to it and I am all for a re-invention but it just strikes me as a bit of a desperate attempt to stay relevant. Certainly doesn't stand out as interesting R&B either. Shame as she has a lot of talent and I have always had a soft spot for Jordin.

Posted by: slowdown73 Mar 3 2015, 06:37 PM

Her new material is pretty awful. I won't be buying it and I loved her first two albums.

Posted by: Cameron Mar 10 2015, 04:23 PM

The video has premiered

Posted by: Davidson Mar 11 2015, 10:56 AM

Almost parody levels of awful.

Oh Jordin.

Posted by: Liаm Mar 11 2015, 03:43 PM

Oh dear at the video laugh.gif

The song's not THAT bad but it just isn't her really. I'm all for moving ahead with a sound, because it can be boring when an artist doesn't progress, but I've waited five years for another Battlefield, Freeze, One Step At A Time or SOS </3

The production on this is great and it has so much potential, but it's just a cringy song about Instagram and the use of "ho" just seems like she's trying to project some shock value.

Shame.

This is quite amusing after years of purity rings and pure Christian living. She has an explicit song with 2 Chainz, and an arrow pointing to her butt asking for a double tap, and after Christian-themed songs like "God Loves Ugly," "Faith," "Save Me," and "Worth the Wait." I guess someone's taking notes from Nick Jonas. I like her, but this seems a little too late after her last studio album was 6 years ago. But, she's the only popstar I know of from my metro area, so that's pretty cool. I still think it's a travesty that "Vertigo" was only relegated to be an iTunes pre-order only bonus track for Battlefield, and never released anywhere else.

The production is quite good but I can't beloeve this is the same girl that produced pop classics like Battlefield and No Air

Posted by: Dobbo Mar 14 2015, 02:35 PM

I think I love this.

Easily her best track.

Wow! Talk about disappointing. I knew as soon as I saw "feat 2 Chainz" that it was going to be disposable. It's too bad because like Liam said, she had so many solid tracks like No Air, Freeze, Battlefield, etc. and this is so underwhelming in comparison.

Posted by: Knightr634 Mar 16 2015, 05:14 PM

I think the song itself in it's genre isn't that bad, but it just doesn't seem Jordin and to be honest she looks in part uncomfortable in the video.

This is amazing.

(and should be in Urban)

Posted by: Kl▲mzee Mar 29 2015, 01:12 PM

This is pretty embarrassing ngl. Any song based around social media is always gonna be cringey #valentina

Posted by: HausofKendrick Mar 29 2015, 01:18 PM

Yeah, i won't be double tapping that rolleyes.gif

Posted by: Robot Mar 29 2015, 07:22 PM

Is it bad that I didn't even realise this was about Instagram and just thought it was a smacking a girls arse or something? Regardless though, I *love* this, it is pretty ~reductive~ but a good song is a good song whether it's original or not and I'm quite hooked on it right now.

Posted by: Liаm Mar 29 2015, 07:29 PM

I thought the same until like my 3rd listen and I realised it was about Instagram! laugh.gif

Posted by: HausofKendrick Mar 30 2015, 03:09 PM

I am sure it doubles up to mean that too kink.gif That genius lyricism *.*

Posted by: ┌ ╫ ┘ Mar 30 2015, 03:47 PM

I was thinking more double p or a 2015 'ldn bridge' tbh...
