Now the dust has settled, I'm still disappointed that Zara never managed a nomination for International Female considering the success the 'So Good' era has accomplished. 'Lush Life', 'Never Forget You' and 'Symphony' had all managed to pass 1 million sales in the United Kingdom and the album performed decently with over 115,000 sales which is a decent accomplishment.

I'm guessing the release of 'So Good' has a single really hindered the overall success of the album but 'Symphony' was doing well as it was released the same week as 'So Good'.

Did she deserve one? Probably. Am I surprised she didn't get one? Nope. It's been a BRILLIANT year for international females and none of the nominees are particularly surprising, although I expected Lana over Alicia Keys. Bjork always seems to be nominated, and if it's not her, it's someone else slightly left-field. Pure pop always gets dealt a slightly worse deal so I'm not too shocked Zara was overlooked. It's not really to do with commercial success, obviously she's had way more success than Alicia and Bjork at least with their respective eras, but the BRITs are always a little bit more snobby.
