I don't know a big lot about the 70s compared to the decades after but these are probably my three favourite songs from the decade I have heard so far.
Excellent pop rock tune, I thought until I found out recently, that this was from later than 1974! This song is so very different, especially with the operatic vocal. Definitely my favorite of all the electronic HI-NRG disco songs in the late 70s. Have liked this one for a long time. What are your favourite 70s tracks? |

More than 40 years on, they're still making great music. |

My faves all debuted in the 80s-90s so I don't really know a lot about the 70s either That's why I did the 70s in this thread as if it was for the 80s or 90s or 00s I would have a huge number of songs I would like and would struggle to decide my absolute favourites. Will maybe start a similar 80s themed thread soon though on here. Oh forgot about this one from the 70s, from 1970 , thought it was from later in the 70s. My favourites are heavily influenced by the music my parents listened to...
You could pretty much include most of Bowie and Blondie's 70s material... |

A song I've not seen mentioned in here so far, it was recently used in an advert but I know of it from Adam Curtis' documentary Hypernormalisation and through it being played a lot on 6Music. Suicide's "Dream Baby Dream". Magnificent!

I do really like this cheesefest that was #1 in 1976, it is very nostalgic as my local cafe I went to a lot used seemed to always have this on its playlist when I was younger. The highlights for me are the Ooh-hoo's and the horn bits.
