Who Knew to win but I think JLAP will since it usually does. Both songs are epic though.

I'd stand up and punch them out 02. Who Knew | I'm Not Dead Average: 9.44 Highest Rates: 11: (HonkyBonkXMAS, Ezra's Whore, T Boy, Jay, Viper), 10: (JosephStyles, Alex, Nick F1, Jonjuer East, Acidburn, UltraChristmas, Liam, Beatrix Kiddo, gavindeejay, Mack, Lindsey, Mackenzie, Dobbo, Vibe, Troublepink, n4yr, bartsimpson, MIKEMYER, Jark, Kylie Jackson), 9.5/9: (Iz, gooddelta, Chez Wombat, Regina, American Oxygen, Simon, Chapman, Mr Pmt, dandy, SeanGrey, Riser) Lowest Rates: 4.5: (Fgiboy2511), 6.5/6: (Joe, Atonement) Right then we are almost coming to the end of this countdown as we are now down to the final 2, and at the runner up spot is Who Knew, which means that you know who the winner is, but for now let's talk about this little gem. It was a pretty close battle and during the first half of the rate this was the actual winner, but the 4.5 score slowed it down and "JLAP" gradually took over, but this did score the same amount of 11's and 10's as the winner did and either song would have been a worthy winner. Released in May 2006 as the 2nd single from her 4th album I'm Not Dead, and this was probably her first ballad that was a smash hit. It's both sad and lovely at the same time as she reflects upon losing someone she loved. It also shows that she's vulnerable, while at the same experiencing so many other emotions, which is another aspect I've always liked in Pink's music and this is one of many perfect examples, with it's slick production that allows her vocals to really come through and never afraid to show a different side to her. Upon release the single was a success by hitting top 10 peaks in Australia, UK, Ireland and USA, along with top 20 peaks in Austria, New Zealand, Belgium, Germany, Swiss, Finland and Norway. Although in the USA it wasn't a hit at first stalling at #118, but after it was used for promo on the TV show October Road, downloads increased and after the successful re-release of "U+Ur Hand", this also shot up the charts, eventually reaching #9 and helping revive sales of the album and her stalling career in the USA. To the middle of my frustrated fears 01. Just Like A Pill | Missundaztood Average: 9.642 Highest Rates: 11: (Acidburn, Chez Wombat, Dobbo, Aled, n4yr), 10: (Alex, HonkyBonkXMAS, Jonjuer East, Joe, Ezra's Whore, T Boy, Jay, Regina, American Oxygen, Beatrix Kiddo, Lindsey, Simon, Mackenzie, Vibe, Troublepink, Viper, bartsimpson, MIKEMYER, Noahspike, Riser), 9.5/9: (Nick F1, Iz, gooddelta, Liam, gavindeejay, Mack, Fgiboy2511, Atonement, Chapman, Mr Pmt. dandy, SeanGrey, Kylie Jackson) Lowest Rates: 7: (Shivering Adam) So they we have it, Buzzjack's favourite Pink single is none other than Just Like A Pill, with a whooping average of 9.642 and out of 42 rates this was the only song to score more than 400 points and I would just like to thank everybody for taking part in this rate and making it a huge success. With 5 11's, 20 10's and several other high scores, and in fact no score lower than a 7, makes this an ideal winner. Released in June 2002 as the 3rd single from her 2nd album Missundaztood and what can I say about this, well for one it is my personal favourite Pink song ever and it is pretty phenomenal with it's killer rock anthem that soars into an unstoppable chorus that made it instantly stand out upon the album's release. It states her problems she's had with drugs and she even stated that this song is part of who she is, a song with a definite cool edge and full of angst that makes this one pretty great record. Upon release it became her first solo chart topper in the UK, (2nd overall) and hit top 10 in the USA peaking at #8. Elsewhere it hit top 5 in Austria, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Sweden and Belgium, along with top 10 peaks in Hungary, Swiss, Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Denmark. |

I much prefer 'Just Like A Pill' to 'Who Knew' so that's a satisfying result! I do like the latter but it never connected to the degree it has with so many others. 'Try' coming third far surpassed my expectations - never knew it had that kind of appeal here. Her voice works so perfectly with that track and I'm not ashamed to admit I've found it all quite empowering on occasion.
The best thing about this thread though has been that it re-introduced me to 'Don't Let Me Get Me', which I'd almost completely forgotten about, even though I clearly remember loving it when the video was doing the rounds on MTV back in 2002 (omg @ that being 2002 ). Some of P!nk's best lyrics are part of that song I think and it's a pleasant surprise to see it regarded so highly here. <3 Thanks for hosting this, Acidburn - great job. |

Aww. Love JLAP but Who Knew is such an emotional song and it reminds me of sixth form. That people were giving it 6 or lower is quite offensive IMO.

Thanks for hosting Acidburn!
Like I said before, this was the ideal Top 2 for me and I'd have been happy with either order. 'Just Like a Pill' is an extremely worthy winner, completely epic! 'Who Knew' is a very meaningful song to me, so I'm pleased to see it is loved by so many of us. 'Just Like a Pill' is now 14 years old (13 since it became a single), and it won't be long until 'Who Knew' turns 10. Blimey ;o |

I'd be well up for an Avril rate *.*
Great countdown in the end. Pleased with where 'Don't Let Me Get Me' finished and such a stunning top 2! DLGM and those two are my absolute fave P!nk tracks. I don't dislike 'Try' at all, it's a beautiful song, I just think she has better. Thanks for doing this AcidBurn <3 We have never had a The Killers rate either |

Wow thanks for all your suggestions guys, I would love to do an Avril Lavinge rate, but it's already been done and don't think they'll let me do another one, I already did a Demi Lovato rate earlier this year, but The Killers or Coldplay sounds interesting though.

TBH in the 9 years of Buzzjack I think most rates have been done. I'd love to see an Avril one, Jonjo gave you his approval to do it again 😉 (Please include why and Alice ) If you're doing Coldplay/Killers rates, make sure to head to the rock/indie forum |
