#24 After the love has gone Just for you James I also had my ups and downs with this one. There are moments that I love this Abba inspired piece and there are moments that I found it a bit cheesy. Overal I do enjoy it now so it gets a respectable #24 in this countdown. Though the video doesn’t makes sense with the song I do enjoy the oriental theme of it. Why? -The camp/Abba vibe of the song. -The video. -The dance. |

I've always liked 'After The Love Has Gone' - a pretty much forgotten underrated gem in their extensive discography, I love the oriental flavour this has that makes it quite unique for them. Okay there are similarites between this & 'One For Sorrow' due to Claire taking lead vocals in both & they are both mid-tempo numbers. But this is still a very strong number in its own right with Steps at their upmost commercial peak.

No. Extatic? I've always liked 'After The Love Has Gone' - a pretty much forgotten underrated gem in their extensive discography, I love the oriental flavour this has that makes it quite unique for them. Okay there are similarites between this & 'One For Sorrow' due to Claire taking lead vocals in both & they are both mid-tempo numbers. But this is still a very strong number in its own right with Steps at their upmost commercial peak. I agree! Though I do have moments that I totally adore it and other moments were I’m like..it’s ok. This song has the biggest possibility to float between a top 10 and top 25 throughout the years. |

I do like after the love has gone and did enjoy it at the time but its not one of their go to songs for me from their olden days. For me it changes! Sometimes I love it nowadays, sometimes I find it ok. I’m just glad it won’t be near the top! Although a studio version of the Motown tour version would be ideal! Haha Though we still got LGAHOMH to come Mm, I think that version is ok! |

#23 Last thing on my mind #memories! A nice hit in the Netherlands so it was all over the radio/tv. Loved the song straight away but wasn’t a fan yet (OFS pushed me over the edge). Throughout the years this was really a favorite of mine. Nowadays I enjoy it less, maybe I heard it too much? Still, love the vibe/speedo and the nostalgia so a decent #23 for LTOMM! Why? -The memories! It was a nice hit here and it was played quite a lot on the radio/tv. -The summery/carefree vibe of the video. -The blue Speedo |

I have always like last thing on my mind including the original by Bananarama, it was a good choice of cover by Steps as it was really an unknown song but shows that sometimes even a good song gets overlooked when recorded by an artist who no longer sets the chart on fire with releases. It was also a great indicator of what was to come from Steps and equally very different to 5,6,7,8 but sill pretty much managed to appeal to the same audience.

Indeed a good choice to cover this song (and be a bridge between ‘5,6,7,8’ and their Abba inspired songs). Happy this was a decent hit/gave them more of an identity. Nice gif! *.* Three great choices so far I know Glad you like the countdown this far Any guesses on what the next song will be at #22? |

Definitely gave them more of an identity and also pulled them completely away from the one hit wonder tag which was something many was predicting would happen. |

Great countdown so far, without any clues I’ll guess #22 will be Say You’ll Be Mine.

Could we maybe get a clue as how many of the countdown are singles and how many are non singles please?
Hmm but at the same time I don’t want to spoil the surprises. Hahaha. |
