Good to see an insta-B-list-add for 'Symphony'. I guess 'Galway Girl' has been announced as an official single then - pretty sure it will be the next official #1.

It's getting harder again to predict what they might playlist and when. Was really expecting to see Rag'n'Bone Man, Louisa Johnson, Will Joseph Cook and the Disciples added today, amongst others.

Sooooo pleased to see Lana up to A, the first time since Ultraviolence! Hopefully top 40 isn't totally out of sight, though I thought an album would be announced by now and would hopefully have been released before it was off the playlist but that doesn't look likely. It's still looking to be an enduring hit by her standards though.

Very shocked that Skin isn't being pushed yet.

Galway Girl is horrific...

Great to see Galway Girl on the A-List! music.gif

Other than the insta-add for Clean Zara nothing else excites me this week.

Great adds for Ghetts and The Weeknd. cheer.gif

Yes, 'So Good' was A-listed. I'd be shocked if 'Best Behaviour' wasn't supported, really thought they'd add it this week but they almost certainly will next week.

Best Behavior will get supported yes, probably even more than So Good, as So Good, as that was a bit Radio 2 sounding, this is very radio 1.

Thrilled to see Lana moved up to A List! wub.gif I live in hope that it can eventually scrape the top 40.

Yay at Mallory Knox staying, they really deserved to have a few top 40 hits, and to be as big as Bastille imo, Lighthouse, Ghost On The Mirror and this new one Better Off Without You are anthems!

Boo for Rich Boy being B list, definitely the worst Galantis single, Nick Grimshaw even said it was 'horrible and sounds like the Mario bonus round' laugh.gif

I'm surprrised they're not a bit bigger than they are actually. I could probably only name a couple of Mallory Knox songs off the top of my head but amazingly this is actually their 12th playlist entry since 2012 ohmy.gif

Is "Galway Girl" the next single?

Yes at The Weeknd and Zedd getting added!

Posted by: Вuzzjack Mar 22 2017, 07:16 PM

I wish this was the version of ALMA - Dye My Hair that was being playlisted...I like the 80s style production in this and it is much less generic than the original.

It doesn't really go anywhere, just seems a bit boring and bland for me unsure.gif

I really like the Lenno remix of Dye My Hair, enough to have added it to my dance playlist! It definitely has that early dance music reminiscent sound, some of the synths in it especially in the first buildup even remind me of those in the instrumental of You Got The Love (1991) - The Source ft Candi Staton.

Yes it could be a bit livelier in parts but it is much much better imo than the generic tropical pop and pitched vocal drop of the original.

Yeh Mallory Knox are similar to All Time Low/You me at 6/Creeper style metal bands radio 1 support - they are hugely popular with certain groups and on the Live circuit so they support them to attract that sort of listener on top of the usual 'pop artists'!
