Good evening Buzzjack!!

I am delighted to announce that nearly all the AF mods have #ComeTogether to bring you the Artist Forum Song Contest! cheer.gif Our first contest is happening very soon and the best part of it is YOU get to decide what each forum's entry will be! The mods of each participating AF will be holding national finals in each of their forums over the next month before we all meet up in the Girls Aloud forum for the grand final! We've also decided to select a theme for the contest and that theme is... Should've been a single! (This will be started in a NEW thread soon!)

I'll keep this thread updated with which forums are currently holding their national finals but in the mean time, here is a list of the AFs currently confirmed to be taking part!

It's all going to be very exciting and we hope that we can get as many of you to take part not only in the grand final, but visiting each AF to help in selecting their entry!

So the first theme is "Should've Been a Single" - which is frankly the story of Leona's career - so let's pick a worthy one!

Post up to 3 nominations in this thread and I'll close this round of voting on Sunday Evening (only a provisional time/date since it depends on the demand). The next round will open shortly after.

'Ave Maria'

First two ESPECIALLY. I remember the uproar and raging Leona fans going bonkers that those two weren't singles! 'Naked' because it's ridiculously radio friendly, and I think it'd have been a middling hit for her in US, tbh. 'Ave Maria' should have been given a Strictly or X Factor performance as I think it would've taken off in a huge way!

Now this is VERY difficult, I'd definitely want to go with something from 'Echo'. I know Glassheart (the song) may seem the obvious choice, but I don't think it has particularly aged very well whereas Echo still feels timeless.

Naked, Alive, Broken and My Hands would all have to be up there for me. Fingerprint would be the best off Glassheart for me and I agree Take A Bow is the best shout from Spirit. But I'd definitely go with an Echo track as that is one of my favourite albums ever!

I couldn't agree more with what you've said about 'Can't Breathe' and 'Naked'. Echo could've been a lot bigger! Especially in America.
