Why was it "embarrassing"? Because she did a corporate gig, something that most popstars crave to do? Because she earned good money while doing something she loves and is passionate about? Good for her. I mean, I would call these conferences soul destroying and where art goes to die lol Ive been to some and it is always cringe and depressing. Good for her to get some cash I guess, but it is very sad that artists have to do this shit |

Think there is more chance of Virgin doing another NS vinyl at some point than getting any of her other albums on vinyl.
I think it must be a big initial outlay money wise to produce a batch of vinyls than Melanie might want to fork out with probably very little to gain from it. She also wont have the connections say Virgin or BMG where they put a heck of a lot of business to these vinyl plants so no doubt get a better deal. Her best bet would be to licence her own label albums out to a small label like Cherry Red or Plastic Pop and let them sort a vinyl or re-issue. She (and her new MGMT) already has the connections to do it on her own if she wanted to. She could set up a pre-order to gauge demand, and only then decide how many vinyls to press. I just think she would rather focus her energy & effort on producing and promoting new stuff. This post has been edited by Voodoo: 21st October 2023, 09:57 PM |

What would she gain from it - money without risking losing money. Would also keep her name out there and give fans something to buy. You ask what would she gain from it like every album isn't being re-released and issued on vinyl now. Danni Minogue's flop album Girl has just been re-released and it had 1 week in the top 100 on original release. |

Before releasing any vinyl from RGR. She must make a clean and proper her own discography on streaming services. Look at the 'Weak' Artwork. It's awful.

Im not sure she gets much cash from a 2000-run print of Northern Star because most of that cash will go to the record label. But the rest of it, she could easily sell limited runs of her main albums and make some quick cash, while getting her work out there again... |

I'm stunned that any artist in 2023 wouldn't make it a priority to have their Youtube and streaming services absolutely perfect. Emma's is a mess as we know. The Spice Girls youtube has two awful errors on it and Melanie C has stuff missing from streaming and rubbish artwork. This is basically how 99% of people view and listen to your work now. Imagine in the 90s releasing an album with missing tracks or the print on the front of a CD single being low quality. Just would never happen. |

The Royal Variety Performance was filmed at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday and it will be broadcast on ITV on 17th December. Melanie performed a duet of Tell Me It's Not True (from Blood Brothers) with Ben Forster as a tribute to the late musical's producer, who passed away earlier this year. |

She was perfect. I think this is one of her best TV performances ever. I'm a proud fan.
