I had to try and think back to the stuff my dad stans but it turned out all the really good ones are from the 70s as there was one artist I was totally ready to go for but they only had a few mediocre tracks in the 80s :') I did end up going with one of his faves though, y'all may realise where my taste in music stems from now

Entered! Finally found something but I did have to find a song from a one hit wonder band. I actually infinitely prefer this song to their hit which has always been just sort of ok to me (and I never connected the song to a band name before so yk).
