Now it's been played on Radio 2 as their "New 2" and playlisted by Gaydio, it's all but confirmed. Subtle differences in the new version (like the addition of a random laugh towards the end).
I am so ecstatic about this news, being my favourite track on the album.
Single mix @ 25:30

Im assuming its looking likely to be officially confirmed soon or will it be a grat like i love it was.
Good choice!
Grats are only a thing that happen prior to an album release.
Not a huge fan
I like the song but was hoping Last Chance (however this could happen for summertime when bars and clubs may be open)
Remember they are releasing every 4/6 weeks for streaming purposes so the songs and remixes will keep coming
A great choice!
It would not be my first choice but I welcome it as the fourth single as it is a very strong appealing song.
If given a choice of physical for this would you pick a vinyl or cd single?
interesting! Thought it'd be 'Miss A Thing'.
How 'Real Groove' didn't become a massive hit is a true pop injustice
Apart from the 'laugh' what are the other differences...I couldn't hear anything?
It is a less abvious edit and subtle but further remixes will likely be delivered.
They will follow previous singles and phase release remixes.
I need to listen to both one after another...ooh it’s like Lifetime to Repair though that edit difference was much more obvious.
Hopefully the edit will be available to stream and buy soon.
They should announce the official release date soon so im expecting some social media plug from the lady herself,
She can probably release another 3 singles from Disco just to keep streaming numbers up. A reissue with Infinite Disco streaming adding too maybe? She also has the Jessie Ware music coming and also Robbie Williams seems to still be in the pipeline
A few outdoor events could work wonders for Kylie especially if streamed too
I think there will be one more single from the original disco, if they go with a new version we should get a further one, hopefully the jessie ware song comes in the next couple of months.
one of the worst on the album.... Miss a thing was the most obvious choice, followed by Last Chance and I love it... Dancefloor Darling is too outdated and cheesy to be a hit...
Outdated and cheesy? like 'Last Chance' isn't cheesy?
Let's be real, 'Miss a Thing' although a great song she's done it a million times before. It's not like a Kylie single is gonna bother the charts in this day and age anyway, so why not take a bit of a risk and be bold with something that shows a bit more of her personality?
Love the new pic Kylie posted. Looks like maybe cover for Dancefloor Darling or at least maybe for iTunes pic. Wonder if we will get the radio edit midnight tonight or maybe next weds/Thurs 😂
Id be happy with that was the cover for the single.
Same! Would be perfect, I love that image.
Also surely has to be a purple vinyl?!
Yes that cover with a purple vinyl would work very well.
I wonder will this be the golden (single) of the golden album where it's a half hearted release.
'A Lifetime To Repair' felt a bit more half-hearted to me as it wasn't given a video.
I suppose it getting the x factor performance made it feel more fulfilled than golden as a single for me.
This is my favourite song on DISCO that hasn't already been a single so I'm delighted with this!
is this offical?
Not sure as no release date is confirmed yet that i know of.
B-listed by Radio 2!
I am wondering.....
If next Friday we will get a little EP kind of release
Dancefloor Darling Radio Edit
Real Groove
Real Groove Studio 2054
Dancefloor Darling Album version
It would get streams for Real Groove to go with vinyl release etc
They are due a streaming release as it's been a while since the initial talk remix and they wanted to release stuff every 4-6 weeks
YESSSS!
Something in support of the physical would be welcomed.
I love this! It fits so well!
Love it! If there ends up being an Initial Talk remix then they need to use that footage!
That video snippet brings back memories of her early moves
This is one of the best on the album so that's great! I think it should have been released as second single instead though.
I wouldn't have minded that run of singles in that order but the outcome would probably be similar, the good thing with Disco is there was/is so many choices for singles. If real groove was a solo Dua Lipa song released purely by her i think it would have been a big hit but as it was a kylie release it lost out as she is no longer a big player in the singles market.
I can't fault the singles order tbh. I thought 'Say Something' was perfect as a striking lead single to introduce the era, with 'Magic' as a more general-public-appealing second single to promote the album. 'Real Groove' with Dua Lipa probably wouldn't have happened until Kylie featured on Dua's Studio 2054 stream and I'm sure there's something special occurring with 'Dance Floor Darling' too.
Hopefully something special does happen with Dance floor darling which we might hear about the week after next when the physicals or Real groove are all shipped as that will probably close the chapter on that single.
I am excited to how Dance Floor Darling will be delivered as a single.
'Dance Floor Darling' enters the radio airplay chart at #39. Bit of a slow start going by the positions the previous singles were at after one week of Radio 2 playlisting:
11 Say Something
21 Magic
14 Real Groove
39 Dance Floor Darling
Only B listed though not A listed like the rest
It has a feeling of Radio single more than an actual single.
39 on last weeks airplay chart, 33 on current week.
Good to see a slight rise. Hooefully something to help it along will be announced next week or the week after.
#782 on iTunes. Highest I've seen it since being added to the Radio 2 playlist but it's still negligible downloads.
I do hope we get something announced very soon, it's probably only got two more weeks of being playlisted by Radio 2 and so far it's been a bit pointless. I doubt we'll get a music video but I'll take getting some remixes.
Where did it peak when disco was released?
Don't know about its exact peak but the iTunes thread here showed it did reach #150.
Dropped out of the UK airplay top 40 sadly.
Do you think there is more to come for dance floor darling or is it done with now, very little has come on it so its hard to know if going to get any sort of push at all as a single.
B-listed for third week.
Maybe there will be another single from disco before the new edition.
The Radio Edit of Dancefloor Darling surely must be coming this Friday or Next, while it is still playlisted. Even if it is not a proper release it would make sense if they have bothered to edit it then to release it and pick up some extra streaming and downloads.
We haven't had anything since Real Groove initial talk remix at beginning of March and they said they would be releasing every 4-6 weeks remixes for streaming purposes. Lets see.
i am sure they have a whole campaign set up for the summer/autumn, BMG wont be sat doing nothing, they have a whole team behind her
B-listed for a fourth and probably final week. Bit of a waste really but perhaps they're waiting to announce the reissue before they start promoting again.
Such a glorious song ending up being one of her most low-key singles to date... it doesn't really feel like a proper single to me
Commissioning a radio edit and not releasing it to streaming/download... come on, BMG!
Totally get that Kylie's spending time with her family right now, but it would have taken nothing for BMG to release the radio edit and perhaps upload the Infinite Disco performance.
28th May is a Friday and her birthday maybe she will chuck it out then ?
I am guessing BMG are tracking her streaming and it stays consistently over 6,500,000 monthly on Spotify at moment which is good. The remix releases are more to keep her streaming up than anything chart wise etc.
Let's see when she will come back to UK. Maybe they are waiting to announce the re-issue with a couple of outdoor concerts etc?
BMG will be working on a campaign no doubt.
Now has artwork according to the OCC:
That is shit.
I was hoping that stunning picture would've formed the basis of the artwork.
Thats a huge step back from the brilliant artwork of real groove.
Oh That artwork is a let down, but this single has been such a non-event, so it may as well have meh artwork
I've heard from a friend of mine who knows someone in her team that we're apparently getting a purple vinyl and that artwork is a placeholder.
I can't 100% guarantee that's concrete, but I'm hoping it's correct!
I was on the fence with the single art for Say Something and Magic. I can see the left-field early 80s vibe they're going for. But this one takes the biscuit. And I'm sorry to say the biscuit tastes bitter. It's ugly.
I would warmly welcome that story to be true.
Please may this be true, id love to have a complete singles collection from Disco as its years since we have been able to do that.
Removed from Radio 2’s playlist.
I would like if they would confirm the release of the vinyl.
With Starstruck obtaining a CD release, could Dance Floor Darling get the same?
It got treated extremely poorly.
It can be fixed for the fans with a physical, so fingers crossed.
If they do not proceed with a physical I feel the release was more or less a waste of time as it had no impact on the sales of the album.
Neither did the last single, let's be honest.
Maybe not, but it provided Kylie with a 2 week Top 100 placement in the singles chart.
When the new version of the album is released im hoping Kylie will get some promo slots, the promo slots on tv generally help the album more than it does for the singles.
Kylie may not heavily promote for a deluxe release as much as she may undertake for a brand new album.
A Dance Floor Darling performance would be welcomed somewhere.
Complete UK radio chart run:
NE: 39-61-66-60 (first entry: 06/05/21) 4w
A shame it never got A-listed as that chart run would be a lot better, but I'm not sure if it would have made much difference in the grand scheme of things considering there was absolutely no other promo for it until the Infinite Disco performance was re-aired just a couple of days ago.
The Infinite performance did not stand out as much as other songs in the show, many other tracks overshadowed it.
All infinite disco had great performances and i suppose it falls down to what songs you like more than others like at any normal concert.
Video is coming
Wait what?
Doesn't mention anything about a music video, she's just trying to promote it on TikTok.
Give us the physical please.
Imagine if that TikTok video was the actual video
Its strange that she would start pushing it now after it been out a while, if she had announced a physical and then this i would understand it more but good to see some action going on of nothing else.
Ya i think it might be the start of the build up to the new edition of Disco.
