Welcome back to FSR Rontvia for BJSC XXXII. My name's Sanna Nielsen, I represented the great nation in BJSCIX with Nobody Without You. The contest is coming live from the stage outside the new Emerald Mall in the centre of Constarvan and I'm sure there's a night of shocks and surprises in store. Who will FSR Rontvia past the baton onto. Will the much rumoured Hendinia-FSR Rontvia-Kopecka winning trio happen again? Can Ashton get that 3rd top 5 in a row/5th top ten? Will Kingdom of Shadow follow FSR Rontvia's lead and get a second win with the same artist? The only thing that's certain is that somebody will win. To kick us off Sheelah are live here on the stage to reprise their winner The Last Time, which brought the contest back to the nation for a 5th time!!!

Sadly Botanikka were unable to vote due to infrastructure problems and the lack of a backup jury (i.e. Addy couldn't get the internet connection to download the MP3's/watch the youtube videos). Persephonia also didn't manage to vote, meaning that both countries will receive a 33% deduction at the end of the contest.

Naturally since I sent her last time I considered Anine Stang too this time, and according to the predictas she might do better for another country this time than myself. In a way I hope that's not true

On the whole, a decent set of results to date. I don't find anything all that spectacular about the top 2 though, but there we are. Some rather good songs still on 0 points aswell.

Analysis:

Aaaand ProJ give us the winner! Nothing for Kopecka but six points for FSR Rontvia sends the hosts 15 points clear. Lykke Li becomes the winner of BJSCXXXII, FSR Rontvia's sixth win, first time they've done it consecutively – equalling Mdice's record and now surely overhauling them as the top country taking 2nd and 3rd places into account It's also notable as the first time FSR Rontvia have won without any points from close allies Ashton.

Second place goes to Kopecka and Elisabeth Carew, proving indeed that everyone was weeping their way to the voting PM, for both songs at the top this month proving that electro heartbreak ballads can be done well by acts other than just Robyn!

After battling it out for much of the evening, Letland come in third to complete another Scandinavian top three, whilst Lorikeet's Spark finishes 4th...Eledan round off the top five with a welcome return to the Russian language, Serebro and indeed Eledan themselves at such heights!!! Herzebania, Lotopialand, Unovia and Espen also score top ten hits, Unovia on their debut impressively. Ashton very very nearly continue their top ten streak but come one point out and finish 11th after scoring nothing from either Kopecka or ProJ. Kingdom of Shadow's former winner Margaret Berger can't repeat the trick but far from disgraces herself, finishing in 12th place with In A Box. At the bottom end, only three country's failed to make it into double figures – Tinnmark, Dalisska and ProJ.

Thanks Freeze, it seems like an unpopular winner from the comments but more than two third of participants voted for it and it got four 12's I've not been very well the last week or so (HORRENDOUS cold/bug), so glad I managed to get through it But I don't want to host again right now



Thanks Rob, too bad I guess no winner is going to be perfect to everyone (only Sheelah ). Varsta Schlagern didn't exactly light up the scoreboard and that was only 4 or 5 contests ago

It's nowhere near as obvious as some other "alliances" There are months when Pavel and I give each other nothing whatsoever, and we never really liked each other's entries until last year (I think). We went in the same direction musically, which I don't think that will last much longer.

Well I suppose I should be delighted as it is joint as my second best result of all time, and it's the first time I've ever had two consecutive top ten finishes, but I was hoping for a little higher than 6th for September (and a little higher than ZERO from Rich ). I suppose it's just hard watching your song getting off to a flying start and then completely lose steam midway through the voting as always always always seems to happen to me

Still, that being said, I did have a feeling that it was all going to go a bit Chanée and N'Evergreen when I got the first two 12s

Congrats to Rich, a great host as ever, which is kind of the reason you got the token one point from Herzebania as the song is kind of a 6/10 for me, but fair is fair, well done on your victory

That would be great, actually! Whenever we have a contest going on there's always a radio station where we can hear all of the selected songs every month. Some people might use that insted of listening to the song in order or just as a type of recap to be sure of their votes. Or just for leisure. Oh and we can show that radio station to people not familiar with the world of BJSC, which might lead to more contestants as more and more people discover new music

No, risk doesn't count. If a song is against the spirit of the contest as a whole then it doesn't matter what language it is.

Although it is unlikely a non-english track will be banned, I am not giving them preferential treatment.
