Thank you Jonjo
Great news about the album, but very short tour? It makes me happy to see them using their classic logo again mind! Also they're doing 'What Happened To Your Band', literally love that song. I remember going to the second McBusted tour a few years ago and seeing them perform it then. You can tell James wrote that one from the heart with all that happened in the years after the split. I like What Happened to Your Band, but it's a bit strange they're putting it on this album.

Apparently What Happened to Your Band was originally a Son of Dork track.
How long has it been around? |

Apparently What Happened to Your Band was originally a Son of Dork track. How long has it been around? Well...it was meant to be for Son of Dork's second album in 2007, but they split up before and got dropped by Mercury before that happened. Then when James went solo for a bit as Future Boy, he performed it acoustically. Then of course McBusted recorded it for their album in 2014. So it's been something of a village bike! |

I might do a Busted singles rate when this album comes out. Should I include McBusted?

Sounds good to me. Son of Dork, Fightstar and Matt Willis/Charlie Simpson solo as well or...? Might do! I'll see nearer the time. I might just do Busted/McBusted because I think there would be too many otherwise. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/half-way-there/1439338150 I've noticed on iTunes the song 'Nineties' has a running time, so it seems like it will be the lead single! Seems like a good idea to me, nostalgia is doing very well at the moment. This post has been edited by WhoOdyssey: Oct 28 2018, 06:25 PM |

I really hope this album isn’t immature. They’re all in their 30’s and it doesn’t need to sound exactly like their first two albums.
I loved Night Driver and wanted more of that sound but if there’s a few Easy style tracks on there I’ll be happy enough. I love What Happened To Your Band so I don’t mind it being on there. The “where’d you go, I’ve been lost without you” part is so good. I just hope they tone down how loud the and angsty the chorus was on the McBusted version. |

Will be here in 2 hours! I almost had a heart attack when that came up, thought it had been released! Lyrics I remember when I was so much younger Hanging outside with my brother Breathing on a Hypercolour shirt And watch it changing colour Friends that you had to find Couldn’t get them all online In my room I played guitar Only played Oasis and Nirvana Na Na Na... Still takes me back to better days. I miss the days of ditching school to watch the Goonies When cigarettes would cost me less than the movies And every day it slips away so far behind me God I miss the nineties Those days are gone and I miss them so Good songs on the radio Rocking out to Smashing Pumpkins Black or White, Macaulay Culkin Na Na Na..... Na Na Na.... Still takes me back to better days. I miss the days of after school at Roller City Now all we’ve got is a parking lot it’s such a pity And used to pray we’d meet one day Kelly Kapowski God I miss the nineties I’ll always miss the nineties I miss the days of ditching school to watch the Goonies When cigarettes would cost me less than the movies And every day it slips away so far behind me God I miss the nineties God I miss the nineties I’ll forever miss the nineties This post has been edited by WhoOdyssey: Nov 1 2018, 09:49 PM |

I've made this Song of the Week on my blog. This feels like the pop equivalent of a hug and a beer with a dear old friend after a very long time, yet at the same time sounds current. They still absolutely rock it! https://wp.me/p4UO9N-1cZ
