It turns out upcoming horror movie The Woods, directed by the directors of You're Next and The Guest, is actually a surprise sequel to Blair Witch and this has been kept secret for three years! Early reviews are excellent and the trailer is fantastic!

Been looking forward to this for some time now. Whilst I'd previously figured it was a promising looking Blair Witch rip off, now I'm a little less cynical about it. The title change may well give it the added promotion needed to make it a hit

The trailer is one of the best I've seen in a while! If the reviews are anything to go by, this will be amazing.

Really excited for this! Hopefully it'll be as good as what the reviews are saying. I'm always sceptical about horror films with good reviews (more often than not, they let me down), but we'll see!

Saw this not long ago and I really enjoyed it. It was very jumpy and genuinely scary & creepy at times too! Not my favourite horror of the year ('Conjuring 2' comfortably still takes that) but I was impressed that it didn't let me down!
Now for 'Don't Breathe' on Saturday night and if that is as good as everyone else seems to say it is, I will be extremely happy with the caliber of mainstream horror films this year. Far, FAR better than the extremely rubbish year we had last year and the year before! |

I'm shocked this made only $9 million at the weekend. I didn't expect it to be a blockbuster but I genuinely thought the hype would get it to $20 million at least. There have been some pretty ropey horror movies that have opened much, much higher than this.

Pleased that the far superior Don't Breathe did better then!
