25 - Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull "Live It Up" (20 points)
17-28-49->3 24 - Matt Cardle feat. Melanie C "Loving You" (25 points) 14-37-60->3 23 - Rebecca Ferguson "I Hope" (43 points) 15-16-32-64->4 We start off with Jennifer Lopez who somehow made it to the final, and it looks like the haters really let her down in the final, with her scoring 14 negative points. It's a big let down from last year's effort 'Dance Again' which got her to #10 in this competition, a song which itself is a big let down from 'On The Floor'. Note to Jennifer - Pitbull isn't the only rapper alive But even with its big dance breakdown it wasn't enough for me to properly love it. The winner and runner-up of The X Factor 2010 are next in this list, and chart wise it seems like Rebecca has got her revenge for having lost to Matt Cardle, however we mustn't forget that her success is minuscule in comparison to the act who finished 3rd on the same show, One Direction. Matt Cardle's 'Loving You' got a lot of press not so much for the song itself but for his performances with former Spice Girl Melanie C which sparked relationship rumours - but it was still enough for the song to go top 20 in the UK. Rebecca Ferguson's song was a talking point amongst Buzzjackers for the fact that she repeated the title of the song more times than necessary, but despite that it's quite a good song - but not as good as last year's effort 'Backtrack' in my opinion. And you seem to agree, as 'Backtrack' finished at #14 last year in this competition. |

22 - P!nk feat. Lily Allen "True Love" (43 points*)
59-36-22-16-18-17-25-35-43-51-61-70->12 *same 10s and 9s, more 8s 21 - Rita Ora "Radioactive" (46 points) 60-32-18-19-18-22-33-50->8 20 - Kodaline "High Hopes" (53 points) 16-21-28-39-54-x(9)-45-70->7 Next up is P!nk who wins a tie battle with Rebecca Ferguson. We have one more tie battle left to go further up the chart. The song was a big improvement on the song that it followed up. 'Just Give Me A Reason' was awful awful awful whereas 'True Love' is met with indifference for me, I wouldn't listen to it out of choice but it's not that bad. Rita Ora is at #21 with 'Radioactive'. Another song of the same name will be coming much higher up in the chart, I do like this song although it and Rita herself get a lot of hate for being very basic. Hopefully she can come up with another good song soon, as she hasn't had a chart hit since this, except her feature on K Koke's 'Lay Down Your Weapons', a song that I never got into. Starting the top 20 is a song that, for me, is lifeless and goes nowhere. But it was Kodaline's biggest hit and it got them a small following on buzzjack. Oh well, at least the quality can only go up from here. |

19 - Rudimental feat. Foxes "Right Here" (54 points)
72-x(14)-63-24-14-23-33-62->7 18 - Little Mix feat. Missy Elliot "How Ya Doin'?" (55 points) 57-23-16-19-17-25-34-53->8 17 - Disclosure "F For You" (56 points) 49-28-20-20-25-26-46-62->8 The first of two entries for Foxes lands here, 'Right Here' is her weakest chart hit to date imo. If only 'Clarity' was eligible for this but that couldn't even make the top 25 Rudimental also have much better songs, but this isn't their worst effort. I do like it for its use of a steel drum, but we have the new Duke Dumont single to satisfy my steel drum needs now. Little Mix were quite unlucky this year, missing the top 10 three times. All their entries are in this countdown and this is deservedly the lowest of them. Even Missy Elliot, who I was excited to have back in the chart, delivers a weak rap. Can you please return to the charts for good Missy? Give us another 'Get Ur Freak On' or 'Work It' please! Disclosure are next up with their strange single choice (Confess To Me should have been made an official single ) which, in the end, worked out for them. It's not one of my faves from them but it's nice to see them continuing to have success. 2014 has been kind to them so far, with many BRIT Award nominations - so keep it up guys! |

at JLo finishing last! Kodaline and Disclosure are the only major losses so far, though I wasn't exactly expecting Kodaline to do too much (surprised they even got this far really).

16 - The Saturdays "Gentleman" (57 points)
14-33-49->3 15 - Clean Bandit "Mozart's House" (63 points) 17-27-46->3 14 - Emmelie De Forest "Only Teardrops" (75 points) 15->1 The Saturdays' huge Buzzjack following ensures that 'Gentleman' makes it to the final stage of this, but it couldn't get very high, probably because the song is a mess, and not in a good way. A deserved flop for them, trying to rap and be American just doesn't work for them, stick to 'What About Us' and 'Disco Love' type songs please. At #15 is a group who have been a big talking point in the iTunes thread recently for their new song doing amazingly well on pre-orders. 'Mozart's House' is not nearly as good as 'A&E' or 'Rather Be' but it was good to see them have chart success. Best of luck next week with 'Rather Be' guys! The Eurovision winner entering the UK top 40 seems to be a regular occurrence these days, there was no way that 'Only Teardrops' would do as well as 'Euphoria' the previous year but #15 is a good position. I'm not a big fan of the song but it has a very Eurovision feel to it so it's not surprising to see it getting love on Buzzjack. |

13 - AWOLNATION "Sail" (75 points)*
73-54-49-39-42-31-22-23-20-18-25-31-17->13 *more 10s 12 - Little Mix "Change Your Life" (81 points) 36-31-12-14-19-27-35-50-68->9 11 - Little Mix "Little Me" (83 points) 51-39-19-20-14->5 Three more songs to go before we reach the top 10. And first up is my personal favourite of the whole 25, 'Sail' by AWOLNATION was the song that just kept on growing in 2013 and in the end it was my #5 song of the year. It's just really good and I'm sure most of you agree. Unfortunately for Little Mixers we have two of their songs just outside the top 10, which means they have no top 10 entries. 'Change Your Life' is better than 'Little Me' for me but the latest LM single does the best in this competition. |

10 - Katy B "5AM" (84 points)
14-29-52->3 09 - The 1975 "Chocolate" (104 points) 71-54-42-24-21-19-19-21-19-27-26-25-30-46-53-51-69-x(12)-69-47-52-64->21 08 - Paramore "Still Into You" (106 points) 56-x(3)-26-32-37-32-26-24-17-15-18-28-51-72->13 Starting the top 10 with a song that really should've done a lot better than it did, it's Katy B. Her new single 'Crying For No Reason' looks set to return her to the top 10 so yay, although '5AM' is better for me. She has quite a following on buzzjack and deservedly so, she's bringing out the goods with this era. Next up is Radio 1 fan favourite 'Chocolate', a song that I really got into earlier last year. It has a lot more popularity and sales than its #19 peak suggests, but its long chart run makes up for it. They've yet to better this but 'Sex' was a good effort. The overrated Paramore are up next. They have quite a few big fans on here but I'm still not into this song. Nothing they've done has excited me recently, with the exception of lead singer Hayley Williams as a vocalist on Zedd's new single. |

07 - Iggy Azalea "Work" (107 points)
55-53-36-20-19-17-20-25-33-37-48-58-74->13 06 - Imagine Dragons "Radioactive" (109 points) 35-56-67-52-59-58-50-46-38-38-33-41-48-65-54-36-31-32-18-12-14-13-14-14-17-21-26-25-25-26-29-36-39-39-33-32-36-42-42-45-55-50-63-74-x(2)-68-61-x(11)-72-70->48 05 - Haim "The Wire" (113 points) 16-24-35-47-70->5 04 - AlunaGeorge "Attracting Flies" (115 points) 51-30-30-19-17-18-31-39-63->9 Continuing the top 10, we have Iggy Azalea at #7 with her biggest song to date, although it's not her highest peaking hit. 'Work' is a great song and I personally loved seeing it become a hit for the Australian rapper, however, her follow-ups weren't as good. Two points away from the top 5 is Imagine Dragons. I thought this would be a big contender but sadly it's not, I really like it though and it's deservedly become one of the biggest hits of last year, despite never entering the top 10. Starting the top 5 is a song I didn't expect to go top 20, as I thought all their hype had evaporated. But you seem to love the all female band (no, they're not a girlband). Personally I prefer 'Falling' and 'Don't Save Me', which weren't eligible for this countdown. AlunaGeorge were tipped for big things in 2013, however I am thankful that this song didn't do too well in the official chart. It's quite overrated imo, but you seem to love it as it is #4 in this countdown. So the #1 is between Arctic Monkeys, Foxes and London Grammar. Who has it? |

03 - London Grammar "Strong" (128 points)
17-16-18-23-36-36-40-47-51-73->10 Coming in at #3 is the beautiful London Grammar hit single. Their breakthrough hit 'Wasting My Young Years' didn't do much for me but this was much better, although I preferred the High Contrast remix, the original is very good too. And whilst Florence is on holiday from the charts, it's good to see this band fill her spot for now. 'Nightcall' is also worth checking out. 02 - Foxes "Youth" (129 points) 12-21-31-53->4 In second place is Foxes. The song was first brought to my attention in 2012 when it was entered into and won a popular song contest held in buzzjack, but it got a re-release last year and peaked at #12. It should've been bigger though, it sounds like a top 5 hit to my ears. 01 - Arctic Monkeys "Do I Wanna Know?" (155 points) 11-18-19-20-21-18-15-15-21-30-36-24-14-22-26-37-40-46-51-46-62-x(4)-75-65-x(2)-56-57-65->26 And here it is. The song that Buzzjackers wished was a top 10 hit the most is this. It returned the Arctics to the top 20 singles chart for the first time since 2009 and helped them get another #1 album. It's one of their best songs to date so it's no surprise that this has done well in this competition. It spent 17 weeks in the official top 40, more than any of their other songs to date - so it's definitely got the sales and longevity of a top 10 hit, unfortunately a midweek OA/OS release meant that it just missed out. Thanks everyone who took part in this Here's the final results: 1 155 Arctic Monkeys Do I Wanna Know? 2 129 Foxes Youth 3 128 London Grammar Strong 4 115 AlunaGeorge Attracting Flies 5 113 Haim The Wire 6 109 Imagine Dragons Radioactive 7 107 Iggy Azalea Work 8 106 Paramore Still Into You 9 104 The 1975 Chocolate 10 84 Katy B 5AM 11 83 Little Mix Little Me 12 81 Little Mix Change Your Life 13 75 AWOLNATION Sail 14 75 Emmelie De Forest Only Teardrops 15 63 Clean Bandit Mozart's House 16 57 The Saturdays Gentleman 17 56 Disclosure F For You 18 55 Little Mix feat. Fantastic top 5! 'Strong' was the best song on the list and 'Do I Wanna Know?' and 'Attracting Flies' were up there too, really like the other 2 in the top 5 as well. Arctic Monkeys are a fairly unexpected winner though I did see them getting high points from quite a few people - strange to see BuzzJack taking so much to a rock song and not a particularly 'pop crossover'-y one either.
