Defending champion Mark Selby is out of the China Open to world number 92 Craig Steadman in the first round. It means that Ronnie O'Sullivan will be World No.1 going into the World Championships.

Marco Fu just lost in the final match of the day. You know he is down to 36 in the rankings now, after his eye issues. Just shows how you can drop when out through injury.

Welsh snooker player Jamie Jones has lost an appeal against a 12-month ban for failing to report corruption.
In positive news, Stuart Bingham made the 151st 147 against Peter Ebdon in the China Open. |

Neil Robertson has now won 17 frames in a row in the China Open after beating Sam Cragie 6-0. He'll play Luca Brecel in the semi-final.

Neil Robertson wins his 16th ranking title which takes him 1 ahead of Mark Selby.
Jack Lisowski is getting closer all the time and surely it's only a matter of time before he breaks his duck. Finished 11-4 to Neil. |

I saw the 141 break earlier in the match, very clinical. Apparently there was an easy red missed by Lisowski earlier which could have put Robertson off his stride according to the commentary I heard.
