'Open Arms' is the third single from Mariah's hugely successful album 'Daydream', a cover of Journey's hit song from 1982. Journey's version reached #2 in the US, and Mariah opted against releasing her own version there. Mariah reached #4 in the UK, and interestingly Journey's version did not chart here, so arguably Mariah's version is the most well-known version of the song.

Mariah suffered a dip in commercial success in 2001 with Glitter, and swift follow up album 'Charmbracelet' (2002) also failed to set the charts alight. In early 2003 Mariah duetted with Busta Rhymes on 'I Know What You Want', which gave her her biggest hit in 3 years. It peaked at #3 in both the UK & the US.

Am I really the only one to vote for 'Shake It Off'? It's easily in the top 5 worst songs I've ever heard.

By the way, I voted for:

I Still Believe (this has really outstayed its welcome now, it's a nice song but she has more impressive ballads, I think)
