 Chart Commentary  This week's Christmas #1 comes from French popstar Nemo Schiffman with his second single I Don't Mind. The track climbs one spot and in doing so, swaps with Louis Tomlinson & Steve Aoki who are down one place to #2. I Don't Mind becomes the first #1 by a French artist in my chart, and unfortunately it's only available on French download/streaming services so it's absent from my Spotify playlist. Last week, Louis & Steve's Just Hold On became the first solo single by a One Direction member to top my chart. 11 One Direction songs went to #1, but neither Niall nor Zayn managed to repeat that with any of their singles so far. In fact, despite four-time #1 artist Taylor Swift collaborating with him on his latest track, Zayn falls 17-24 with his newest song I Don't Wanna Live Forever this week. Previous Christmas #1s have come from The Saturdays, One Direction, The Vamps, Tom Odell and Louisa Johnson, meaning that Nemo is the first non-British artist to top my chart for Christmas! Fun fact: 2011's Christmas #1, Last Call by The Saturdays, was also my first ever #1! In the chart runs below, the underlined week is my Christmas chart. Haven't actually heard any of your new entries but the Pia Mia track certainly interests me. Is George Shelley releasing a song every week Journals style? I see a big climb for Bad Things! And finally cracking the UK top 100 now I believe it could be a hit next year
