Yeh this symbolises just how radio 1 have followed the commercial stations over the past 20 years and don’t actually care about anything like new music etc. I mean the C-List here has as many songs as the A-List does now. Would love to see a plays total for each track to see how much repeated plays there were?

This was pretty much the last time I listened to radio 1. They used to be really diverse and yet it seemed to go downhill from the 00s onwards.

It peaked at #31 and only spent 2 weeks in the top 75. It's pretty good, not too dissimilar from the Missing remix and Wrong.

That playlist looks a lot bigger than what we get now.

Such classics on here! What a year in music.

I miss the days when it felt like pretty much anything could be given a fair chance by Radio 1 regardless of the artist or genre. They're so restrictive now, that's why the playlist is about 1/6th shorter.
