17. Never Gonna Be The Same - 4 Votes
18. So Fine - 5 Votes
Our first victims are perhaps not surprising. Never Gonna Be The Same was a 2006 single from Sean Paul's second major label album 'Trinity'. A notable step away from his signature party jams, the song was a reggae ode to his lost friends. Apparently, this caused friction with his record label, as this was what he wanted to release more of, while the label wanted club anthems. Nevertheless, not a classic.
So Fine was Sean Paul's 2009 comeback single and is a marriage of his classic reggae patois with the electro sound that was dominant at the time. This underperformed in the UK charts, getting nowhere near the top 10 as perhaps the music scene had moved on from his imperial phase. Not offensively bad, but not great either.
Deadline for this round is midnight on Sunday 30th December. Enjoy!
My vote goes to Give It Up 2 Me.
My word what an amazing discography, this is gonna be the hardest of all the least favourite polls ever so far to choose from soon.
Imo my top 5 will be his 5 most recent ones, such an amazing last few years he's had
