So the nominations process is over, and we have now reached our national final. Every entry with multiple nominations has made it to the final and, after unleashing my inner Christer Björkman, I have added in a few extras to make sure there is five entries per category from the remaining nominees, ensuring there is as wide a range of countries, years and win-worthy entries as possible. I'm sure everyone will fully approve of these choices! For the main three categories, you can vote for as many of the finalists as you like. You can just vote for your one favourite to give them the biggest chance of winning as possible, or vote for two, three or four favourites in each category! (There's no real point in voting for all 5). This will ensure that the selected songs will be liked by as many of us as possible. In the final category, if the majority vote "Yes" then Måns Zelmerlöw & Petra Mede's "Love Love Peace Peace" will automatically be our entry. If not, then the second place with the highest percentage in the main three categories will be the fourth entry. EVERYONE VOTE YES! As a reminder, Loreen's My Heart Is Refusing Me was chosen to go in the third category as the version of the song that would be entered is not the Melodifestivalen version, but rather the single version released as a follow-up to Euphoria. Voting will close in a week's time, I'll post a reminder when we get close to the deadline. |

Thank you!
It was a great idea from Lex (I think) to separate our songs into a few categories so we don't have just 4 previous Eurovision entries or 4 Loreen album tracks! |

Welp, these poll results are going the opposite way I hoped they would. For most things. Separating them is a good idea but genre-wise it seems to mean everything's gonna be dance-pop.

I voted:
Poll 1: Cascada; Greta Poll 2: Margaret > Of course < Poll 3: Loreen; Tone & Eric Poll 4: I voted "YES!", but if that means one of Loreen or Tone & Eric missing out, I want to change my option to "no, let another one from another category"! Loreen & Tone & Eric are my absolute faves and I'm quite sad to see that at least one of the two will be missing out! Loreen coz, well, it's an actual BANGER and Loreen is my Queen of Eurovision, so it's fitting for the theme, for me and Tone/Eric is the BJSC entry that never was or will be! EDIT: Tone/Eric aren't even joint winning with Loreen WHAAAAAATTT!!!!! |

If 'Íki Dakika' doesn't get through I am boycotting this entire thing!!
I mean, Signature Sounds of Eurovision and we're sending Cascada, Margaret and Loreen. All fantastic songs but Eurovision is WAY more than female dance pop |

Indeed Adam. Stuff like NOX, Dinle or Water (i know these two are ineligible) is exactly what we need to send.

I always liked the MF version but it was missing that extra punch, the single version made that song go from good to near perfect for me

I'm surprised Cascada was even allowed in here, considering they'd had huge UK hits before, therefore they should really have only been allowed to be nominated within the Dance forum, seeing as all their relevant topics are in that forum, as opposed to going into the Eurovision forum (like Loreen, Mans, Margaret etc...)
I did no nominating, coz I don't feel like I know Eurovision well enough to come up with some inspiring choices, so I just waited for the voting rounds and I must admit, Cascada being eligible feels like it's cheating a little. |
