I have arbituarily split Britney's career into 3 categories: early, middle, modern.

With 9 studio albums let's say:

EARLY ~ ...Baby One More Time, Oops!... I Did It Again and Britney
MIDDLE ~ In The Zone, Blackout, Circus
MODERN ~ Femme Fatale, Britney Jean, Glory

Which is your favourite? Vote in the poll and discuss below!

oh god drama.gif

I think middle just edges for me by a hair...ITZ is her masterpiece and she totally controlled pop world, then we got Blackout messy era which gave us the best pop crafted album and then the comeback Circus wub.gif

I would rank them below:

Fave - Middle
Close fave - Early
Least fave - Modern

Not that I hate modern Britney era but tbh it didn't fulfill my satisfaction being her fan (Rihanna and Gaga were doing that instead)

Early Brit got my vote mainly coz I have not been a fan from the start, so I couldn't live up some stuff as I did with Middle and Modern Brit. And I go back to FF, Work Bitch and Glory more often than to Baby, Oops and Britney.

Very good choice of poll!

I’m currently 5 albums into my overall listen to her discography so once I’ve heard them all I’ll for sure vote.

Although I think I can safely say it’s between Early and Middle as I know for sure I won’t vote for Modern day Britney teresa.gif

This is actually proving to be VERY DIFFICULT.

Early has the best singles
Middle has the best albums
Modern... exists x

DO I GO FOR EARLY OR MIDDLE Neyde.png

Went for MIDDLE because of Blackout her best album, and it was the period I was most obsessed with her (Circus era).

THAT WAS HARD.

Fav: Middle - ITZ is my fave album of hers, Blackout had fantastic moments and Circus had some bops. The middle era also gave us Everytime. heart.gif
Runner-up: Early - I don't listen to early early Britney anymore but Slave and Overprotected remain great.
Modern: nothing she has released since 2008 has interested me. tearsmile.gif

FAVE: Middle. Blackout is just undeniable.
SECOND FAVE: Early. But mainly just for Britney. I feel like that's really where she came into her own as an artists. Slave, Overprotected, Boys wub.gif
LEAST FAVE: Modern. Still so many great songs but definitely more filler than before. Glory was a great album though, which I wasn't expecting at the time. And FF had SO many bangers.

Favourite: early (all of these albums would be in my top 5 along with 'In The Zone' and 'Glory' I think)
Least favourite: modern
