Yaaay at this finally coming out in the UK w00t.gif

I found it really interesting and was fully engaged throughout the entire film! I was really interested in seeing how the lobbying worked and the intelligence involved in every step made in the process. For example, one moment I loved was the live TV debate building up to the big moment at the end, so enthralling to watch. I loved how quick and witty the script was too and the acting was excellent from everyone. John Lithgow was a stand-out but it really is Chastain's film, add her to the LONG list of leading actresses that would have made better Oscar nominees than Emma Stone and Meryl Streep last year sad.gif

Without a doubt the Oscar race should've been Chastain vs. Portman vs. Huppert. I seem to remember Joe saying somewhere that he thought Jessica gave the best performance of last year? And I'd possibly agree. That script must've been a mammoth task.

Some of it I found a bit confusing but it kept me interested throughout and I loved all the twists like Esme being saved by a citizen with a gun after her past had been exposed on TV.

If only Christine Baranski had a larger role. And I'm here for Jake Lacy continuing to pop up in these supporting roles.

Especially as a male escort laugh.gif tongue.gif

Still yet to see Huppert but mine would be Portman vs Davis vs Chastain vs Henson vs Blunt so far with Jess probably the most vulnerable tbh, this category could've been AMAZING considering all the other snubs too like Amy Adams/Annette Bening etc...
