afternoooooooooon

retro faves:

2015

1- UPTOWN FUNK- Mark Ronson Ft Bruno Mars (101,962)
3- L.A LOVE (LA LA)- Fergie (57,834) amazes me how this actually peaked so highly. It's quite fun, catchy and all but ultimately the production and lyrics are so uninspired
4- LIPS ARE MOVING- Meghan Trainor (46,565)
5- FOURFIVE SECONDS- Rihanna/ Kanye West/ Paul McCartney (44,543)
6- WISH YOU WERE MINE- Philip George (41,924)
7- SAY SOMETHING- Karen Harding (37,950) this being a surprise smash was great to see biggrin.gif
10- THE NIGHTS- Avicii (31,609)

2011

1- WE R WHO WE R- Ke$ha (90,139) this feels like such a non-#1 now, it only made it because of its massively delayed release anyway
3- ROLLING IN THE DEEP- Adele (63,581)
4- COMING HOME- Diddy- Dirty Money Featuring Skylar Grey (59,572)
5- BLIND FAITH- Chase & Status (52,853) LOVELOVELOVE this, really inspired for a top 5 hit!
6- DO IT LIKE A DUDE- Jessie J (41,300)*
7- TRAKTOR- Wretch 32 Featuring L (32,600)*
8- HOLD IT AGAINST ME- Britney Spears (27,934)
9- WHAT’S MY NAME?- Rihanna Featuring Drake (26,623)

2006

2- WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN- Arctic Monkeys (22,470)
3- CHECK ON IT- Beyonce (20,222)
4- SAY SAY SAY (WAITING 4 U)- Hi-Tack (17.573) one of my faves from 2006 heart.gif
8- I’LL BE READY- Sunblock (14,064)

2001

3- THE NEXT EPISODE- Dr Dre Ft Snoop Dogg (34,000) music.gif
4- TOUCH ME- Rui Da Silva Ft Cassandra (32,000)
5- EVERYTIME YOU NEED ME- Fragma Ft Maria Ruba (26,000)
6- PLAYED A LIVE (THE BONGO SONG)- Safri Duo (24,000) classic trance tune heart.gif

1996 barely know anything from this chart oop

1- SPACEMAN- Babylon Zoo (204,000)
10- EARTHSONG- Michael Jackson

2011 wins!

Biography
As AlunaGeorge, producer George Reid and vocalist Aluna Francis amalgamate electronic pop, 2-step garage, and left-field R&B. They met in 2009, when Reid remixed a track by Francis' group My Toys Like Me, and debuted in 2011 on Sweet Recordings with the "Analyser"/"We Are Chosen" single. By the end of the year, AlunaGeorge remixes for Mirrors ("Into the Heart") and Lana Del Rey ("Born to Die") were released. The relatively R&B-oriented "You Know You Like It" led a three-track Tri Angle EP of the same title in June 2012. This was quickly followed by a remix of Florence + the Machine's "Spectrum," as well as a vocal version of Rustie's Glass Swords track "After Light." "Your Drums, Your Love," their Island debut, was released in September 2012 and peaked at number 50 in the U.K. In 2013, they assisted with Disclosure's "White Noise," which reached number two in their country, and released their own "Attracting Flies" in advance of the album Body Music. - iTunes

really hope 'I'm In Control' can eventually be some sort of hit, it's a great comeback!! [and it would somewhat make up for the DJ Snake remix of 'You Know You Like It' massively underperforming]

Oh haha yeah, he's not that at all, he's super talented. I'm just not used to hearing PC Music anywhere near the airwaves.
