We're getting one
I guess they'll wait until New Rules has at least left the top 10 before announcing. But I'm glad they have something planned for Q4, I can see the album doing well over this period.
Whats the source?
Last Dance with a new video surely?
When this is announced, do you think she'll finally get some decent TV promo? I can't think of any proper TV performance in the past? Her budget from the label must have hugely increased over the last month surely?
Surely X Factor?
In the Official Charts poll, I voted "IDGAF" and was surprised to see it has a large majority! I doubt they'll go with it unfortunately though. I'd love "Dreams" - she doesn't have to have a ballad single, especially as every time she performs live she asks the crowd if they're ready to party
When do we think this'll get announced? I know New Rules is still flying high, but I really want it soon so we can get an X Factor performance!
I think it will be soon tbh!
I don't think they should rush. "New Rules" is still doing so well - more so than anyone would have predicted before release. I don't want Dua overkill again which I think is one of the reasons "Lost in Your Light" underperformed so much after three simultaneous top 20 hits.
The Chris Martin somg with an XF performance. Saying that... I reckon NR could go until December.
I think they should/will get something annouced before the XF live shows, they'd be silly not to have something brand new single for Q4. New Rules will be on ACR in about 4 weeks and fall quite fast down the charts.
Next single could be something new but still alike to New Rules. Then that single would be track #1 on a re-release of the album (along with maybe her collabs and remixes). Similar to how Sia released The Greatest after Cheap Thrills did so well, or how Shawn Mendes released There's Nothin' Holding Me Back in a re-release of his album.
I think a new song for the next single would be the better option, if not for this era then to kick off the next one (or just a one-off release). I heard somewhere that Dua might be singing the Children in Need song this year too, so that could also be very helpful for her
Next single is IDGAF
oh well
YAS
Do we think she won't perform New Rules at the X-Factor? I'm sure she'll get a slot performance and the BRITs but I think it would be weird not getting a big performance for one of this year smashes before then.
Source?! IDGAF is a decent choice if true!
Ugh
IDGAF is an amazing choice
IDGAF is a smart choice. It's radio friendly (obvz with a bit of censoring) but it doesn't completely alienate her fanbase either! I have a feeling she'll get another top 10 out of it, providing she can get a bit of promo in. Preferably Strictly/XF and maybe Graham Norton or something too!
I'm sure it'd be quite easy to censor it to "I don't give a damn" really, release a single version called I Don't Give a Damn (with a feature maybe) and capture those radio friendly sales
Where's the confirmation though?
Best choice really, at the stage of 8th single a remix is needed really and I think IDGAF lends itself well to that being sassy and a bit playful. It's not gonna be that hard to censor it's that one bit of a chorus it's not like she is singing about anal sex all over it I'd have deffo gone for this, a Last Dance re-release or one of the ballads as a Q4 album seller but I've really come round to this.
'IDGAF' is a really good choice from what's left, as in the rest of it is in no way single material.
They should do a single mix Ft Stefflon Don
Great choice The only song left I think would work commercially tbh, hearing 'I Don't Give A Damn' on the radio will sound weird though Queen of getting the mums on board ;o
I'm wondering where did she confirm that "IDGAF" is the next single. It's not one of the best choices in my opinion and I would prefer a re-release of "Last Dance" instead.
Really wanted Last Dance to get a re-release or even Lost In Your Light.
For me I also really like No Goodbyes, Genesis and Begging definitely prefer those to IFGAF.
Why would she give Lost In Your Light a re-release?
Not sure about this, but a TBC track has been registered on PPL's site and the release date is 2017. Also, the length isn't added. I think there's a possibility that this could be a new track, although it also could be a reserved spot of "Bang Bang", which isn't registered yet.
Do we not reckon it’s a feature remix of a known track though?
I didn't think about the possibility of a feature version/remix of a known song. It could be that as well, but it surprised me to see a 'tbc' song listed though.
Either way, she was asked by Tyler Oakley on her YouTube live streaming performance which song will be the next single and she avoided it. You could watch it around the 38:38 min. mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXROZVwBTks.
Inside Intel has told me Dua has a "Big performance" coming up, I'm not sure what it is, or even if it's for the next single, it could be for New Rules. EMAs? X Factor? Graham Norton?
To me it seems almost certain that she'll be given an X Factor performance. They like having British artists on the show and she's one of the hottest ones atm
Surely she HAS to get an XF slot?! I reckon a new rules and new single mashup
Pls announce something soon Dua!
Just seen one of those music facts acc tweet the video is in Nov!
This oughta b good!
No mention of the song yet, but she confirmed that the music video was shot and there's going to be some dancing on it. You could check it around the 2:40 min. mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myKjx4vh3bQ.
Last dance plz
She performed "Homesick" (as well as "Be the One" and "New Rules") on Jools Holland last night, which will be aired this Saturday on BBC Two.
Homesick is a ballad so a bit of an album seller I guess?
She said the video for IDGAF probably isn't coming till early next year
Regardless of the US, they should still start pushing "IDGAF" on Spotify playlists in the UK.
Yeah they're leaving it way to long for another single in the UK! She needs to get another single out to push album sales during the Christmas lead up :/
There's a rumour that a music video of "Homesick" will be released this Friday. I'm not totally sure that this is true, but in case it is I think it could work because it may help to sell the album, as Joe mentioned a couple of posts above when she performed it on Jools Holland. Also, it could be a UK/EU/OZ release, while she focuses on "New Rules" in America.
I can't see New Rules peaking MUCH higher in the US now (maybe a top 20 week or two), personally I think IDGQF would have done much better with a Q4 release, and helped the album even more too.
Yeah they really need to just get it out here, I on't think IDGAF would do much in the US anyway and it's a bit stupid to halt everything all over the world when New Rules has probably about peaked in the US...
Does anyone else think this might struggle on radio? Obviously it will be censored but how are they going to be introducing it?
I feel like they might rename it 'I Don't Give a Damn' or something similar for a single mix tbh!
I think rebranding it "I Don't Give A Damn" would be a good idea. A single mix with a featured artist would be nice too just to make it more different to the album version. I have no idea who would really fit on, maybe Sean Paul since they worked well together on No Lie
They could easily just say "I Don't Give A"
She should release a Christmas song while we wait.
Added to Hot Hits Uk! It’s coming!
Yas!! Is "New Rules" still listed?
FINALLY
Spotify:
125 IDGAF by Dua Lipa
Added to Today's Top Hits, which is the US couterpart of Hot Hits UK on Spotify.
Assuming they're gonna change it to "Boy I don't give a damn" for the radio version... will it be renamed IDGAD?
Waiting for this to take off is like waiting for her album to be released
Excited to see the Spotify gains for this after Boxing Day.
Huge update. Re-enters the top 200 on Spotify, sitting at 65! (20 Xmas songs above it).
#45 without Christmas then I wonder if this has the potential to be another #1 for Dua?
Top 50 on spotify now which means it’ll start charting soon!
Slay
This has made its chart debut here in Ireland this week at number 92.
Down to 67 on UK Spotify. Hope it recovers
Yeah it's back top 50 again on Spotify so I think this'll be big
38 on Spotify!
Video coming next friday!
Perfect timing! I'm intrigued by the pictures that she's posted on Instagram - I would have imagined a much higher budget given the success of "New Rules" and the impact that the video has had but as long as it's better than "Lost in Your Light"'s video, I'll be happy.
Already up to #30 on Spotify - I would guess top 40 is probably too much to ask this week (it was #61 in Tuesday's update) but next week is a certain!
The video looks like it's going to be fierce!
Debuts at #55! Still climbing on Spotify too!
Yessss re video!
Up to 29 on Spotify now and 482 on iTunes
I think Dua could perform this at the BRITs rather than New Rules. This would be a welcome second number one for her - gives me Florence vibes in parts.
Official artwork:
Queen of shaving her armpits
armpit angel
I have a feeling this is going to be huge...like as big a Be The One?
Obsessed with the song at the moment.
This is Greg James's Tune of the Week on Radio which means it'll be played every day and twice on Thursday if Dua records a special 'jingle' version of the song for him! Really hoping she does it! Also means playlisting is likely this Friday or next, not that it wasn't going to be playlisted.
Greg introducing it literally as I-D-G-A-F :')
The radio edit doesn't sound bad considering there's no replacement word actually. Kinda surprised they didn't record a proper censored version unless there's one still to come!
Oh the radio edit sounds pretty good! They covered it up quite well, it’s nicely done and doesn’t be just sound like a messy blank. Screaming that Greg is like ‘We have to call it letters. We’re not allowed to say the name of the song’. They can’t be calling if I-D-A-F every time surely? Just say ‘I don’t give a’ ????
where is the radio edit??
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09l1smv#play about 54 mins in!
oh this was done rlly well!!
Boy I don’t give a arrrrr
The radio edit actually kinda works!!?!!??!
Up to 22 on Spotify!
100 Dua Lipa IDGAF
Finally top 100 on iTunes!
Yassss
Music video pics
Hyped for this after how fantastic the 'New Rules' video turned out to be! That colour palette looks aesthetically pleasing *.* hoping for some good choreography again.
This could potentially be another great video?!
Woah the video looks interesting
Really surprised at how well it is doing initially! I didn't expect it to even go top 100 until a few weeks after the video
This video is gonna be bossy. I'm ready!
Dua's got so much momentum coming out of New Rules, it would be hard for this to flop (at least in the UK)!
I see you tryna' get to me
I see you beggin' on your knees
Boy, I don't give a f***
So stop tryna' get to me
Get up off your knees
'Cause, boy, I don't give a f***
About you
The best bit of the song yes?
82 on iTunes and 18 on Spotify!
#41 in the mids today, just 92 copies being Sam Smith at #40, who is on ACR! Almost certainly coming for top 40 tomorrow
She made a Greg James jingle! *.* listen from 59:25 here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09l1stf
What time is she dropping the video at?
12pm I believeeeee
Yassssss
C-Listed on Radio 1! Top 10 beckons!
Very Christine and the Queens. I like! Not quite the FEAST of 'New Rules' but has similar elements to it, plus the song is quite minimal so I think this sort of video works well.
Quite like the video, nothing particularly major happens but it does the job
It's very Christine like already mentioned. Expectations were obviously going to be massive following New Rules but it's still quite good.
I'm more engaged watching this than End Game, can only imagine the difference in cost.
FIERCE. Not quite the big budget extravaganza that I expected but she completely sells the song. I expect this to be as big as, if not bigger than "Be the One"!
brilliant video! love the bit where she kisses herself
I actually Stan this music video. Her third best after new Rules and the original Be The One video
Top 40 hit!!!
This song is awful and really bland/ kinda tuneless and pointless.
34 on iTunes now! Great video boost!
Iconic video again. Love her bossy attitude mixed with good choreo she's got going on again *.*
You just know children are going to watch this music video on the TV and think Dua Lipa consists of twin sisters Dua and Lipa. I did that with the OutKast Hey Ya video! For what it is, it's well done. Not New Rules/Be The One level but still really good.
Up to 16 on Spotify!
Heard this out last night and it's already getting love. It seems to play on the same elements that made 'New Rules' so appealing, particularly with those catchy, empowering lyrics, but it's different enough to be appreciated in its own right. I can see this being really big for her.
Eh really don't like this one sadly. It just plods along, no moments of interest.
Not a massive fan of the music video but the song itself is incredible, I honestly think she's my favourite UK female artist right now
01. Scared To Be Lonely
02. New Rules
03. IDGAF
04. Hotter Than Hell
05. Blow Your Mind (Mwah)
06. Be The One
07. Lost In Your Light??
I think I prefer this song to New Rules now
#8 on Spotify!!
Is she actually doing a New Rules again 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
At the rate this is climbing, SURELY the next Spotify #1?! *.*
I actually think that this could go #1?
I got number ones I count em
Omg I'm SO here for this being a #1, Feb could be her month snatching BRITs and another #1 *.*
Also side note, it should be #1 on Spotify in Ireland quite soon (maybe tomorrow)! UK to follow swiftly pls
Meanwhile in the US...
36. New Rules by Dua Lipa 504,232
37. IDGAF by Dua Lipa 495,943
Another bonafide international smash in the making *.*
The way it’s climbing on Spotify so far is scary!
(Watch it fall or stall tomorrow). It’s getting close to no airplay too!
A Dua and Keala Settle top 2 plz *.*
I don't like IDGAF, as Dobbo said it just sort of plods along and isn't very interesting imo, big disappointment for me after New Rules which I liked.
Spotify UK
04 Dua Lipa - IDGAF (+4)
OMG
Omg.
It really is coming for #1 isn't it?!
Hyped for this blowing up on Spotify! *.* A shame it's not top 20 on iTunes as that will probably cost it an official top 10 position this week but next week it should be a contender for top five. I'm interested to see where it places in this Friday's radio and TV airplay charts after its first full week of Capital, Radio 1 and video plays.
3 on Spotify
#1 on Irish Spotify!
#14 today! Already her 3rd highest charting solo hit!
QUEEN
A fantastic result!! This really is coming for #1 isn't it
I'd faint if she went #1 AGAIN. Talk about turning an era around
Charted at number 5 officially in Ireland
12 on iTunes - Radio 1 B list taking effect!
Also #8 in mids!
First song on Hot Hits Uk now, I really hope Drake doesn’t ruin this song’s chances of #1...
Top ten on iTunes!
#5 in mids!
SPOTIFY
US #21
GLOBAL #5
UK #4
Think this has outpeaked New Rules in the US?
Blua Lipa
That was terrible. I hate those videos. It always feels light shitty straight white male humour.
#1 in Ireland
#4 in the uk
Yes Ireland *.* UK next pls
This is so close to #3 on Spotify now!
Yay new peak of 3 on Spotify! Surprised it hasn't moved up on iTunes a bit more since being A list on Radio 1. Maybe they should 59p it on Brits week?
IDGAF hit top 5 in NZ Singles Chart, didn't expect to be take off really fast worldwide.
https://nztop40.co.nz/chart/singles?chart=4448
Yessss. #4 again here this week. Deserves top 3 at least.
Debuted #23 in Australia last week too, already doing better than New Rules was in it's first week (#26)
response songs always make me cringe and that didn’t change that
It's a shame this has stalled a bit after such a quick start. Maybe the Brits will give it the extra push into the top 3?!
That's genius! I love it.
Craig David & Dua collab coming now I hope
Top 5 on iTunes now!
Performance in the Live Lounge for the BRITs Breakthrough voting is next Wednesday!
Certified silver
#5 in New Zealand & #11 in Australia
She's winning!!!
I really want them to 59p this, it's stalled a bit and needs some promo or a boost from somewhere.
Next single pls
As expected, this is her next US single. The track has been serviced to Pop radio today and impacts on February 27.
Two radio edits have been sent. The first of them is the same as BBC Radio 1's (the 'f word' is omitted), while the other replaces the 'f word' with 'what up'.
Yeah wtf? How is that going to work?
“Boy I don’t give what up” maybe?
Like... boy I don’t care about you so what’s up with you still loving me? But I suppose “I don’t give what up” flows off the tongue better
Are you sure it's not "Boy I don't give a what", which would make a lot more sense?
Either way, good to see it finally being pushed in the US but I feel like it will die on Spotify by the time radio catches on like with New Rules
Okay it actually is what up
It's such an awful edit wtf
Actually, I think it's 'Boy I Don't Give A What Up', but I agree that it's weird and I prefer the other version. I've checked the YouTube link and it says that it's 3:46 min. and it was uploaded on January 20, so it's interesting that it has been out for four weeks, although I think this might be fan-made? That said, I haven't listened to the YouTube link yet, so I can't confirm or deny if this version and the one uploaded on AllAccess (which is 3:37 min.) are the same.
In case any of you are interested, the AllAccess links are below, but you need to register first to listen to them.
• "IDGAF" (Radio Edit) [F*** Dropped]: Listen to it https://www.allaccess.com/audio/player?audio_id=11578.
• "IDGAF" (Clean 'What Up'): Listen to it https://www.allaccess.com/audio/player?audio_id=11579.
As a side note, a remix package should be out soon (maybe next Friday to coincide with the BRITs?). It will include remixes from Anna of the North, Darius, Hazers and Young Franco. The four of them are registered on PPL Repertoire without the length.
[f*** Dropped] !!!! iconic
a Darius remix *.*
bring back the Darius forum!!!
Guys IDGAF is 59p for Brits week!!!
Omg yes a Young Franco remix
She’s up to #4 on itunes!
I can’t believe this song has been #4 for 4 weeks. Touch of 2018.
I don't get why "I don't give a what" couldn't just be the edit?
The US is just so extra with censoring songs :')
Also, I think it could finally reach top 3 this week with 59p and the Brits?!
👀👀👀👀
https://twitter.com/dualipa/status/966050875490947073
I'm ready
Woah! Can't wait to see what they come up with
Live Lounge performance: (featuring Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, MØ & Alma)
SHOOK
Did anyone else think they were pointless? For 4 ladies with extremely distinct voices, their backups sounded incredibly... "normal"? Lmao :/
Thank God we couldn't hear ALMA or Mø though 🙃
They really should've been given a line each or something, such a waste :')
Urgh she didn’t even perform it
Slightly disappointed she didn't even do one chorus of IDGAF... But hopefully her two wins and performance can put a bit more momentum behind the song anyway so it's not just peaking at #4 forever.
Up to #3 on Spotify, so close to #2!
Tbf it’s probably only close to #2 bc of the Brits Playlist
Remixes from Hazers, Anna of the North, Darius (surely not the same guy ) and Young Franco are out tomorrow.
#2 on Spotify yaassss
Should be #3 this week and maybe even #2 next week, honestly if she’d performed this at the Brits it would’ve given her a huge iTunes boost to compete for #1 next week
It's #3 this week indeed
This is the banner which is used to promote "IDGAF" in the US.

Officially Top 40.
This has peaked now I think. It's a shame we didn't get a cool TV performance of it, but I'd say this has overtaken Be The One as Dua's second biggest hit, no?
Definitely
Yeah it's surely peaked now! I'm ready for her next single tbh (Begging)
I'm really enjoying this song, I liked New Rules but hadn't really gotten into her before that. This is quite a bop though!
Surprised no one has mentioned this, we FINALLY got a TV performance of this on Ellen the other day:
She taped that performance in February while she did "New Rules". Honestly, I wasn't expecting that, but I think it was a clever idea from her label to do "New Rules" to give the last push and "IDGAF" to push it in the US. Also, she has a pending performance to be aired from Jimmy Kimmel, so I assume it will be the second of "IDGAF".
Either way, if it's considered that this mostly have peaked in the UK, I'm wondering if her label will release another single or not. Personally, I hope this happens and it could be an EU/OZ only release. "Homesick" could be a possibility because it has taken off in The Netherlands, but I would go with "Begging" or a re-release of "Last Dance". That scenario (another single from DL1) would be ideal if her label plans to release the lead single of DL2 in Q4 in my opinion.
I definitely remember something being said about there being 2 more singles, IDGAF has been one since said announcement.
I definitely remember something being said about there being 2 more singles, IDGAF has been one since said announcement.
I'm all about a Last Dance re-release tbh.
It needs to be Begging but I bet it will end up being Homesick
I’m ready for DL2!
4-4-4-4-3-3-3-5
This top 5 run!
Apparently, there will be a new version/remix of the song with a rapper.
I wonder who it'll be? Cardi please.
I can't see how a rapper would fit into the song in its original form so I'm guessing the production will be jazzed up a little. 'New Rules' seems to lend itself more to a rapper feature.
Dua to move on and re-release Last Dance
Some time ago, Dua mentioned that she has recorded a French version of "IDGAF" on her Instagram stories, so...
It's very catchy. I find myself singing it an random times. I prefer the version where she actually says fck though.
We have a THIRD clean edit of this https://soundcloud.com/dualipa-archive/dua-lipa-idgaf-radio-disney-version-1
iconic
that actually works tho!!
If only it was called IDNYL
Well it's better than the what up version :')
A few changes to the lyrics in the song and that would make sense!

Performing this on the Voice Finale tonight!
Iirc, The Voice gets pretty big ratings in the US so it's a huge oppourtunity for her
(I'm just glad it's not another 'New Rules' performance over there tbh :')
The Voice performance:
She sounded really good and the choreography was excellent! It kind of matches the video which is always good for the US audience. I wish she had promoted it in the UK with a killer performance like that
It's currently at #17 on US iTunes. She needs to make the top 50 officially within the next two weeks otherwise she'll go recurrent.
Now THAT'S better! Much more personality in her voice and moves unlike her robotic 'New Rules' performances. Really enjoyed that!
I agree with Theo that it's a shame we didn't get something like this for the UK. Imagine that on the BRITs!
Her best performance!!
Good performance - she's always so much more natural performing this than New Rules! If only she did it at Billboard too, it would've given IDGAF such a big push over there

Dua won the Best Pop Video award for the music video at the UK Music Video Awards yesterday! Her second consecutive win following last year's award for "New Rules"! Deserved !
