I dont think Trump has it in the bag - look at the mids everyone thought then the Dems were screwed and yet the Reps didnt do as well as they are divided. This polarisation of republicans between the Trumpites and the middle ground will mean Joe has a chance!
Joes State of the Union speech was excellent on Thursday as well, came out fighting against his critics. Loved his comment to the Supreme Court judges in front of him too! |

This polarisation of republicans between the Trumpites and the middle ground will mean Joe has a chance! Joes State of the Union speech was excellent on Thursday as well, came out fighting against his critics. Loved his comment to the Supreme Court judges in front of him too! Yeah I saw that in full, we had the news on at work on Thursday night and it was quite a spicy speech. Not sure what he did before to become so fired up but it reminded me a bit of Cameron in the 2015 election when he was at that factory saying 'this really PUMPS ME UP' but significantly less cringe- those around him seem to realise that apathy is their ultimate opponent in this election and so targeting things like women's rights (abortion) will help focus the mind of the electorate as to what is at stake. Biden has at least a few things in his favour - incumbency, a recovering economy.. so is just about the favourite at this point but it won't take much for it to flip the other way. |

Elongated Muskyrat has officially endorsed Trump after secretly funding his campaign for months.
Looking more and more likely that he bought out twitter to raise up fash voices, unban Trump and destroy a left-leaning platform. |

Such a shame that nothing has taken Twitter's place. Even Zuckerberg's Threads would be preferable.

Too early to say, polls change a lot and trump is capable of doing something counter productive any second but Gaza should cost Biden Michigan and if so he just needs Georgia back I think

Well not in all the interim elections especially with the hot topic of abortion getting the Dem vote out, but Biden not taken a braver stance of Israel has cost him a lot of the votes. But Trump, WTF are people smoking? I feel really sorry for trans people as he's just declared he's going to end all rights for them on day 1 - the evil fascist.

I can't celebrate this knowing that he's still able to potentially be president while in jail.

Great news to know that despite how utterly how archaic a system this country has, that justice can still be recognised, even if it doesn't include insurrection which it really should. Hopefully, this will give the Democrats some backing in their campaigns and convince the swing states that a convicted criminal isn't really the best choice to run the country (I can't believe I'm having to hope that...).
But of course, this will absolutely not affect his core fanbase at all and will make them even angrier and allow more funds to be raised for his campaign, and there'll be even be more of an anti-establishment vote that initially got him there. November's gonna be nasty x |

Yeah I was watching BBC News for a while there as Trump left the courthouse and some of the people they had on talking about the verdict (neutral/Republican-leaning) saying it would be in their best interests to choose another candidate now, but that's not going to happen.
