So what we all thinking on this one?

Likely to be a dominant story until he dies in and out.

Been given a pig heart transplant (world first) but it turns out he best a man and left him paralysed in 1988 for which he was sentenced to ten years. The man he attacked died at the age of 40.

The pig heart thing was a bit sick in the stomach feeling for me and just feels wrong, the fact he also turns out to have such a rotten past seems to make it even more wrong, although I'm not sure it would be ethical to stop people having transplants just because they've done bad things.

Are you the same person you were in 1988? I’m sure as hell not (and not just because I was an embryo)

The point of the justice system is and should be rehabilitation where possible. If this man has been rehabilitated (and given that people are bringing up 1988 and nothing since does lean towards that) then is it fair to continually hold a noose around the man’s neck and then deny him medical care?

On the table, all are and should be treated equally. If you deviate from that then you end up with substantial issues and a slippery slope. What disqualifies someone from life saving care? And once you start becoming judge, jury and executioner, where do you draw the line? Is it only violent crimes? Just think about what Adolf Patel at the home office would do with that power. A thought that should keep you awake tonight
