This is all sounding wonderful to me. Much as I liked DISCO in parts it's a bit wishy-washy and even samey/homogeneous, I want something that goes a bit harder and this sounds perfect!

I love disco and don't find it wishy washy at all and think it's one of her strongest albums and very consistent. I would like kylie going for that harder sound aswell as i think her voice could match that style very well.

Heldens I think is signed for Sony/Universal which should help any streaming push. But let's see

Not to sure why a lot of people on sayhey etc are saying Oliver Heldens is not big name DJ...... course he is. And also only 28 years old

I wouldn't say he's a household name level of DJ. In the world of DJs he is a name, though not exactly one of the most major ones, and that extends to the charts.

He's a perfectly respectable and interesting name for Kylie to collaborate with, and I'm excited to hear the song in full, but I'm not getting excited about hit potential or even particularly big streams from this, given that one of his recent releases has 2m on Spotify in 2 months.

Just because he doesn't have a massive Spotify streams doesn't mean he is big

Defo been a top 10, top 20 world DJ for about a decade.

Also produces under Hi-Lo name with another 1.5m Spotify listeners so that's about 11m Spotify monthly listeners.

Look at the crowds he plays too.

He is also only young. So he is doing very well for himself.

Nope, all of the Hi-Lo music includes a credit to Oliver Heldens, so those 1.5m listeners feeds into the 9.3m on his main page - it's not a separate figure to add on top of it.

Oliver Heldens is currently #787 on Spotify's monthly listeners list [9,372,665 listeners]. Here's a Spotify list of DJs & their monthly listeners, who are higher up than Oliver Heldens (some of them are groups of DJs):

#246. 20,309,185 - R3HAB

...and that's just who I've noticed, I might have missed some.

I'm honestly not trying to put Oliver Heldens down. There's an insane amount of DJs out there who try & fail to make an impression, on the DJ scene and in the charts. Oliver Heldens is certainly up there in the world of DJs, and he's had a smattering of hits. Yes it was wrong of some Sayhey people to dismiss him as not being a big DJ, yet at the same time I can understand why they wouldn't have heard of him and would have to at least check notes about who this is that Kylie has worked with.

Who knows, the song (which we've only heard 25 seconds of still lol) could take off on streaming, more so than everything else he's released in the 2020s so far... and I'd love that. I just don't think "he's 28 and plays to huge crowds" means all that much in terms of this collaboration and what it means for Kylie's career. Personally if this song ends up being something I love and have on repeat, that's the main thing for me! If it doesn't take off on streaming, I won't feel let down because I have no particular expectations.

Apparently how the chorus sounds in the Instagram video Liam shared (someone remarked it sounds PWL-esque on another forum!) isn't how it sounds on the actual studio version song, and that's just a mix for that set.

That sounded great though so maybe a pity if it doesn't sound quite like that!

I am not denying he hasn't got as many Spotify listeners but that doesn't mean he is not big DJ. Of course DJs who are older or got more remixes out etc will have more. He is building up. I am also saying already if may not be a hit at all, but that doesn't mean he isn't one of the words top DJs.......

Anyhow I love the clip and mix in rhe club. Good to see Oliver getting into it and promoting already. I am sure there will be quite a few official mixes/remixes already done...... another top DJ may have done it already

Yes and it's a bast*rdisation of Haddaway's classic that shouldn't be anticipated with anything but dread.

Oliver Heldens is a credible name who makes good music, but he's a drop in the ocean and it's not gonna raise her profile in any way - but it'll be a banger and that's all that matters.

Love how Jay always brings the receipts 👌

It's getting a real marmite response on various chat pages etc.

Some take it seriously, some see it for what it is.

Lets hope it just gives her a bit of a promo boost in clubs and can be used as a b-side for a vinyl single physical with her new album. A few remixes would be nice too
