 It's starting to drop now (currently #23) but UKMIX tells me it made it as far as #12 this week! Fingers crossed it can return to the official Top 100. |

The Immaculate Collection has been discounted in the US where it is #15 on US iTunes! In the UK, it had fallen back down the chart but is back up to #58.

'Hung Up' is 9th on Spotify's Throwback Thursday playlist - would be good if this could enter the Spotify chart. Madonna often appears on the playlist but isn't usually as high as that.

More impressively, and slightly odd, is another upload of 'La Isla Bonita' on 10m views which has made significant gains just this past month, currently averaging 311k a day (by far Madonna's best daily performance at the moment) and was only on 5.3m views at the end of April. I'm guessing it's been included on some sort of playlist. Apparently most of Madonna's YouTube views have been from Central and Southern America so I assume it's on a Latin playlist or something. I think the same must have happened to the highest viewed version last year too.

 'Like a Prayer' leads the "icons only" list - hopefully such a popular song and its position on the playlist will be enough for it to enter the Spotify Top 200.

I think Madonna not having her back catalogue on a VEVO page may be a big reason as to why she doesn't have many huge YouTube hits in the way Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears etc. do. Most of her videos for a long time appeared on the Warner Bros. channel, only recently has her own channel had all videos added to it. Come the end of 2019 though, both versions of 'La Isla Bonita' and 'Vogue' should have passed 100m views, with 'Hung Up' over 200m and 'Bitch' over 300m. |
