my phone is seemingly too old for the iOS 11 update. sad.gif iPhone 5.
You aren't missing out on much I don't think. I remember having the 4th gen iPod touch and it didn't support the major update for 7 nocheer.gif I'm surprised the 5S is still being supported actually, it'd probably be obsolete by 12 or even mid 11.

I don't get that issue, although I have my notifications at minimum and only for a handful of apps.

I've never had it take that long! ohmy.gif did you do it through iTunes or yo wifi? I think iTunes takes a lot longer than just doing it straight from the phone

I’ve found myself having to force restart the phone 3 or 4 times as the home screen becomes unresponsive, can’t switch apps or turn the screen off (or even the phone itself) although Siri opens as well as triple click home... it’s only happened since the update so I presume it’s that and not my device lmao :’)

(If anyone else has this problem just hold power and home until you see the apple logo and you’re all set without losing any settings/data etc. )

I think the screen recording thing is so essential though and it records sound as well so I can basically download videos to it instantly without faffing around with downloading, converting and syncing on my laptop wub.gif and no it doesn’t record Netflix appaz it just comes up with a blank screen laugh.gif

The only thing I dislike thus far, is that the old way of switching apps by force touching the left side of the screen has gone and I really got hella used to that

Agreed. I did sometimes forget to use it and more often than not I’d accidentally open the switcher laugh.gif my sensitivity settings only on medium as well but it seems to have a life of its on despite

The iPad keyboard is annoying me, they’ve moved lots of keys around and it’s getting annoying having to swipe up on each key to get a different key. mad.gif

Anyone else had the problem where your headphones are unplugged on iPod or iPhone but your phone thinks they're still in so won't play out loud? Currently got this and don't know what to do sad.gif tried turning it off and on again, headphones are in tact and aren't broken so I'm clueless cry.gif

that happened a couple of times with my old Touch. I can't remember exactly how I solved it but it was either cleaning the headphone jack (I mean THOROUGH, my jack needed so much cleaning with something really long and thin to get it all out) or it might just work with a hard reset (holding power and home until the logo appears)

You're a life saver thanks Adam!!!!! heart.gif

Tried turn off and on, reset, installing new iOS11 and headphone plug in and out. Tried a knitting needle in the end which worked laugh.gif

Apparently my beloved 3D Touch app switcher was intentionally removed for 'technical reasons' but will return in a future iOS 11.x release! YAY

In the meantime I've taken to using that accessibility feature that gives you a floating home button because you can set it so when you 3D Touch that it opens up the app switcher.

I’ve no idea if it’s going to be in this update, but iOS 11.0.1 has just been released today.

Oh cool, ty for that second bit, had no idea it could do that ohmy.gif

I managed to get the iPhone 8 for £607 or so and I'm getting it next week cheer.gif

Is there any point to charging mats really though? I mean the mat itself isn't wireless, you still need your phone close to a power source laugh.gif ok so the actul technology is technically charging the phone wirelessly but... all I see initially is it's a couple of seconds faster to charge it than physically putting a cable in :')
