Do any of you have any Twitch streamers you follow? Even if they're just... as is increasingly common, Youtubers making a little bit on the side by streaming games for their fans.

Also, how much do you think that eSports is viable? It's a hugely growing market and I must admit, the thought of watching a charismatic streamer who's generally entertaining playing a survival game like H1Z1 or PUBG is a lot better than watching sports for me.

A bit late of a reply but recently I've been watching people stream a lot. Its become one of my favourite things to do laugh.gif Whether its Twitch or Youtube streaming watching some of my favourite YouTubers live streaming games is oddly fun to watch. I mainly watch like Minecraft, Pokemon, Fortnite etc.

Does anyone else prefer live streaming to just regular uploaded videos?

On whether Esports is viable I think it depends on the platform most streamers use twitch for how helpful it is for the creators whereas Youtubers, although does bring a dedicated community apprantly, is not viewed as viable I don't know really.

whenever I get into a new game I search out to see if there is anyone streaming it and who the big names are (there's a lot of good streamers for Hearthstone, for example). Live streaming only okay when I catch it though, I'll often put it on as background noise or if I know someone I like is streaming.

I kind of prefer watching their highlights later though, especially as I only rarely find myself in a live stream when something is happening. When you do find that though, boy, it's great.

I've gravitated more towards people having fun on chill streams rather than necessarily going for people being super competitive at their game in an esports sense although there's certainly a market for that. Big games have tournaments and prize money and it is nice to imagine that I could do that - although probably I could only be competitive at something without quick reaction times as a barrier, again, like Hearthstone, anything FPS or anything else that requires quick actions or a high level of actions per minute I think I'd be locked out of.
