QUOTE
Yorkshire hosts the first UCI Road World Championships to be held in Britain since 1982 and the BBC will be showing live coverage from 22-29 September.

The pinnacle event in the international road cycling calendar includes a range of men's and women's races, plus the inaugural team time trial mixed relay event, starting in different towns and cities throughout Yorkshire, but each finishing in the main competition town of Harrogate.

There will be live coverage of each race across BBC Two, the Red Button and iPlayer, as well as the BBC Sport website and app, where there will also be live text commentary and regular reports, reaction and social media.

Each race discipline - time trial and road - will be covered across all age groups, from junior to elite, in individual and team events.

Clare Balding will lead the coverage on BBC Two and the commentary for all elite races will be Simon Brotherton, Chris Boardman and Rochelle Gilmore.

Anyone going to be watching this?

Interesting to see the multi-national World Cycling Centre team are permitted to race the Worlds - naturally, only those outside of the national teams entered in a given event can belong to it.

Yeah that interested me as well! They were the only non-Europeans in yesterday's race as well wink.gif

Brilliant to see Great Britain get the bronze in the Mixed Team Time Trial yesterday, admittedly they probably wouldn't have got it if it wasn't for that Italian puncture but they really deserved it! Especially as they're not the most well known riders (this was the first major achievement for two of the girls in the team)

What a TERRIFIC Junior Time Trial! Tiberi needing a bike change within 10 seconds of starting and then going on to win the whole thing, ahead of all the seeded riders who were expected to do better than him even without the change ohmy.gif

Brilliant to see early riders take the entire Top 3 as well, gotta love an underdog.

Watching German Gomez break down in tears yesterday when no-one was there to replace his bike was a sad scene, especially as he was in the front group so had a chance of being on the podium.
