Former Spice Girl stuck in lift Halliwell was on her way to sign copies of her new children's book Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell was rescued by firefighters after becoming trapped in a shopping centre lift. Ms Halliwell, 35, was on her way to sign copies of her new children's book, Ugenia Lavender, when the elevator at Lakeside in Essex broke down. The singer and four other people became trapped when it broke down on the way to the first floor. Sub officer Dan Hyatt said crews were surprised to get the lift open and find Ms Halliwell trapped inside. He said that when they got there "we were all surprised to discover that one of the people trapped was Geri Halliwell". "The lift had become stuck between floors and a team of engineers was working on it but didn't seem to be having any luck," he said. "We used a manual crank in the lift's service room to raise it and get the doors open. "Geri thanked us all for our help and was a really nice lady. it's why I never use lifts
there are amazing inventions called stairs for those in good health  (shame Ian didn't think about them in Eastenders  on Thursday night)

Hmm i think it would be good if they did one last huge concert that was televised and put onto DVD, but even as a huge fan I wouldn't want them back for a 2nd reunion.
