i have been listening to this album recently and discovered how amazing this album is.
i really love the darker, more indie/rock sound of this album,
i think that Kylie sounds slightly like Alanis Morissette in a couple songs.

standout tracks for me are Cowboy Style (the drums heart.gif ), Limbo, Drunk, Dreams, Jump (one of my fave Kylie songs now) and Did It Again

i think that many fans are split on this one, some call it a hidden gem of Kylie's Career while others
don't like the sound or the fact that it was her least successful album and contained the FLOP Some Kind Of Bliss.

what does everyone here think about the album?

discuss smile.gif
also feel free to rate the tracks on the album

Tracklisting:

08 - Too Far
09 - Cowboy Style
05 - Some Kind of Bliss (there is always one rotton apple in the bag)
09 - Did It Again
07 - Breathe
07 - Say Hey
10 - Drunk
08 - I Don't Need Anyone
11 - Jump
10 - Limbo
07 - Through the Years
09 - Dreams

This album is definitly the hidden gem of Kylie;s career,a very solid album that will forever remain a cult following as even when kylie was huge in the fever era the album was re released as s double album and it didnt sell much so i call us the lucky people who have it, its a much stronger album than x and miles better than kylie minogue 94 and the disappointing body language. Im not saying its not as good as the other studio album i may not have mentioned as there as some songs that are equal to the material on them.

I love some kind of bliss and i still feel it should have been a bigger hit although im not fully sure it was the right intrductory single, Breathe i love and to this day is still one of my top 5 faveourite kylie songs/singles and again it criminally under perfromed sales wise. Did it agaion was a nice song that i wouldnt have picked as a single although it does have one the best kylie video;s ever.

I was lucky enough to get a cd single of cowboy style which again was a lazy release even only in oz where it didnt even get a video just a concert clip as a video but for the 2 non singles high lights were limbo and the rumoured axed 4th single i dont need anyone.

I enjoy this album alot and i will always be greatful to have it in my collection luckily the album was a huge success in australia where i think it still is one of kylie;s biggest selling album there.

i didn't know it did so well in Aus, that's great smile.gif

i own the double cd with remixes and a few unheard tracks, all amazing

Limbo woulda been a great single
Cowboy Style should have had a WW release with a vid as i am sure it could be a top 20 hit

Im not sure about cowboy style in the uk as the other single were very minor hits so i dont know how a 4th single would have performed, limbo would have been a great choice of single i do agree

Im very hit and miss with this album. I disliked it for a very long time but have learnt to appreciate it more over the years. The second half of the album is better than the first imo. I love Dreams. Should ahve been a single. Breathe is amazing. Did it again is a very average song but with a brillinat video. And some kind of bliss def should not have been the first single. I never liked Cowboy Style till he did it on the Fever tour.

I have ranked my fav songs. Top to bottom -

1 - Dreams
2 - Jump
3 - Breathe
4 - Limbo
5 - Drunk
6 - Say Hey
7 - Through the Years
8 - Did It Again
9 - Some Kind of Bliss
10 - Cowboy Style
11 - Too Far
12 - I Don't Need Anyone

I do love this album, it showed what Kylie was capable of as an artist and even though it was a flop, I think critically it was important for her career as she found some independence and isn't just known as a 'pop puppet' for this sole reason.

I like every song on the album, my favourite is 'Did It Again' though, I feel it's one of Kylie's most underrated singles.

While we're at it, how bout some a prreciation for the Kylie Minoguje 1994 album?

Of all her albums i think this one shows of her vocal abilities the best, she shines on every track here, especially
Confide In Me, Dangerous Game and the acoustic version of Where Is The Feeling? on the bonus disc released
a couple of years ago. i think that people tend to overlook this album even though at the time it was a successful album and it's sold
more than X and around the same as Light years i think.
It's a quality album with no fillers even though some songs drag on slightly too much. My faves have to be
Confide In Me, Where Is The Felling? (an overlooked single), Dangerous Game, Automatic Love and Time Will Pass You By.

Tracklisting:

1. 10 Confide in Me
2. 07 Surrender
3. 08 If I Was Your Lover
4. 11 Where Is the Feeling?
5. 08 Put Yourself in My Place
6. 09 Dangerous Game
7. 08 Automatic Love
8. 07 Where Has the Love Gone?
9. 06 Falling
10.09 Time Will Pass You By

I really love this album. Its the far superior album out of the two decon studio albums released. Although it didnt contain as many standout single choices as the first decon album, its a very mature and diverse sounding album which should also appeal to many non-kylie fans. I love the songs, "drunk", "jump" and "say hey".

For me Kylie Minogue 1994 remains my least fave kylie album,to be fair this album and impossible princess are 2 very important albums for kylie as without them we would never have got the fantastic 2000 pop comeback, that a side had this not been a kylie release i would have never bought the album nor any of the singles of it,put yourself has grown on me over time but still ranks low in my fave kylie singles list and although she showed great vocal on confide in me it still is my least faveourite kylie single
