How ironic..... I actually find Call It What You Want the weakest song from the new Taylor era 😂. I don't dislike it but it doesn't have the catchiness of LWYMMD or Ready For It. I prefer Gorgeous too 😂

Based on a couple of listens I'd say "Call It What You Want" is my least favourite of the 4 tracks with "Gorgeous" at the top. But I really like them all. Not at "1989" level but it does make me hopeful for "reputation".

Call It What You Want is my fave so far along with Ready For It. Agreed that this isn't as strong as 1989 (or Red IMO)

53. Katie Melua - Fields of Gold (Official BBC Children In Need Single 2017)

I wonder was this inspired by a certain Ms Cassidy? I think Eva's version (it just seems less flat than Melua's as Eva had a bigger fluctuation in volume of her voice in the song) is better even though it is very sad as it was on that cancer research advert when I was younger and Eva Cassidy sadly died of cancer sad.gif

The BBC have stated that it’s in tribute to Sir Terry Wogan. ‘Fields Of Gold’ was one of his favourite songs and Katie Melua was one of his favourite artists.

Oh OK then, the choice of song and artist is quite fitting then.

Promo Slots This Week:

The One Show (Friday): Bryan Adams
Sounds Like Friday Night (Friday): Liam Payne, Liam Gallagher, London Grammar (apparently Mabel is due to perform but she's not credited on the BBC website)
Graham Norton Show (Friday): St. Vincent
The X Factor (Saturday): Tokio Myers
Jonathan Ross Show (Saturday): Blondie
Later... with Jools Holland: Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Dua Lipa, Saz'iso, Superorganism, Aimee Mann, Amadou & Mariam, Jose Feliciano
The X Factor (Sunday): Rita Ora
Strictly Come Dancing (Sunday): Stereophonics
Sheridan (Sunday): Sheridan Smith
Sam Smith at the BBC (Thursday): Sam Smith

So pleased St. Vincent has got a slot on Graham Norton! Her album is fantastic. Also excited for Blondie.

I’d rather it was someone else performing on Sam Smith live at the BBC. Also shocked at the decision to allow Sheridan Smith to perform of Sheridan... laugh.gif
