Let's just start with the most important thing I took from this, you are CRAZY if you don't go and watch it - this is an absolutely FANTASTIC documentary film.
She is one of the most inspiring people you'll ever have to watch, I'm not even someone who really likes all this motivation speaker but I was listening to every single syllable that was coming out of her mouth. Just seeing scenes like her striving through her injury to do something simple like catch a large ball which took her a lot of practice to do again shows how tough and determined she is. It really hits home when she says she just wants to sit and look at her old house again in Swat but can't because as soon as she sets foot in the country she'll be shot for standing up to evil people and doing what is right and so brave. It's a lovely insight into just how normal she is aside from that, the glimpses into her home life when she talks about beating up her little brother and things which is so cute. In fact, my favourite scene is one where she's looking up her crushes on the internet and talking about how bashful and shy she would be to approach a boy is really lovely to watch as well. A must-see film, I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone! The one thing I can ever so slightly complain about was some of the animation parts which reminded me more of a Year 6 RE video when really all I wanted to see was more of Malala, her inspiring words, insightful tales of Swat and her charm. I could gush about this for quite a while really but I'll stop This post has been edited by Josh.: 8th November 2015, 03:14 PM |

In reference to what you said in the box office thread, I nearly had my own private screening this afternoon :') Just one other man in the screen.
I definitely didn't take as much from it sadly, she has a great cause and it was nice to have a little insight but that's it for me. |
