She's posted a new song called "Chi-Raq" featuring Lil' Herb on Soundcloud. It's ok, but not as instant as LAN was for me. I wonder whether this will be on the album, or maybe a left over?

She really is looking her absolute best at the moment! As happy as I am for her, I was really looking forward to new material from her. It may not make a difference though, she seems to be hyping up the album pretty well so far.

Okay, so she said her album isn't coming on 5th May. However, she specifically said an album isn't coming on that day. Personally, I think we'll be getting a new single or promo single on 5th May. I guess we'll find out on Monday...

That happened today. The interview is here...



Talking mostly about "The Other Woman". Speaking a bit about juggling new making music with the filming. The only thing she really said was that her album was coming this year, which we obviously knew about.

She clarified about the album sound. They'll still be some pop influences, but there won't be any dance music.

What I don't get is with Nicki is no-one asked / wanted her to delve into dance-pop. That was her own decision. I was quite happy with "Super Bass" esque songs, the balance between rap and pop music... not another album of wishy washy "Your Love"s though.

But on the other scale, the hip-hop songs on PF:RR were abysmal. I mean "Beez In The Trap". What a snore!

I'm all for the third Nicki and Rihanna collab. One thing Nicki needed on PF:RR was some bigger featured artists, even PF had them (Eminem, Rihanna, Kanye West). Hopefully they'll be a couple of bigger name artists on this album, Rihanna would be great - both "Fly" and "Raining Men" are fantastic!

I think the album will be released on 13th or 20th October, otherwise 5th October would be a random date to hold the "Anaconda" release back until.

Taylor Swift is releasing on the 28th October, so avoiding that week would be great!
