'Born to Die' won the last rate all the way back in 2016 but has it done it again?

This was SO much closer than I was expecting! 'Ride' finished 4th in 2016's survivor so I'm absolutely delighted with how well it has done this year. It's the runner-up and it really does deserve its placing. It received over 44% of the vote to win. It rightfully earned critical commendation from music critics and was named the eight best song of 2012 by Complex! Her visual for the song is perhaps her most memorable to date with it portraying controversial subjects including prostitution, adultery, rape and revenge, and gun violence. 'Ride' was released back in 2012 and it went onto peak at #32 in the UK. A defining moment in her career.

But we have our winner and even though it is slightly predictable, how can anybody complain? 'Born to Die' wins yet again with over 55% of the vote. The song was released as the second single from Born to Die and went onto peak at #09 in the UK. It's widely regarded as her best song and it's not hard to understand why. It received over 55% of the vote to win. Remind yourself of how perfect it is and listen below:

Great winner! One of my favs. Ride is my fav but I'm really happy it made the top 2.

I'm so pleased that 'Ride' made it so far in this game! It would've been great to see it win but 'Born To Die' is a worthy opponent so I can't be mad.

Amazing winner and amazing top 2. I prefer BTD so I’m glad it won over Ride, as much as I like that too,
