25. Beez in the Trap Nicki Minaj feat. 2 Chainz Average - 6.98 Lovers - 11 - Andrew, Liam/b] [b]Haters - ) // 0 - THEO. I'm personally surprised this one is so high! Our general topic inspiration, Beez In the Trap makes it in at 25. It's kinda catchy and is one I remember quite well from the second album. The styling in the video for me is a little off, especially the makeup but it's definitely not her worst! |

Not sure why I managed to get into Beez... after hating it along the same lines as Stupid Hoe I do quite like the production in the former though

I was shocked at how Beez in the Trap is here too It's done really rather well for one of her least poppy/accessible singles!
It's definitely memorable so it has that going for it |

24th 7.06 Check It Out // 10 (Ultra) // -1 (Haus)
Clearly some divided opinion on our next song - Check It Out. I completely forgot that Cheryl Tweedy Cole Fernadez-Versni Payne had featured on a song with Nicki and it's astounding to think now it actually happened I like Nicki's part on this but Cheryl ruins it completely for me, as does will.i.am but I'm prepared to overlook that as hes had much worse |

23rd 7.08 Bed of Lies // 10 (Andrew, Sean) // 5 (liamk, Haus), 4 (DanG)
Up next we have one of my absolute favourite Nicki Minaj songs, Bed Of Lies (ft. Skylar Grey). I love this track in particular (sorry that Liam, Bal and Dan don't xo) as it is another side of Nicki we don't always get to see. It's definitely more vulnerable and emotional than most of her other tracks and I think the piano and feature definitely reign it in perfectly. The promotion of this one includes performances at the AMA and Ellen which is a shame because I'd have LOVED this to smash here in the UK. |

Bed of Lies is a bit dull really! I was hooked on it when it was first released but I think that's just because it was new Nicki music and I went off it pretty quickly. She has way better ballads anyway and could probably do the song better on her own with her singing voice on the chorus instead of Skylar Grey tbh.

22nd 7.14 Freedom // 11 (Davidson), 10 (Ultra) // 4 (Jade & Sean
Up next we have Freedom. I think in hindsight I was probably too harsh on this one but Davidson has given it 11 so it definitely has it's fans here! I think I'd have put this at a six in isolation but in context of the rest of her discography it's not as good. I do love the slower parts after the first bit of rapping and I am a total sucker for the black and white aesthetic in the video! Nicki is serving so many looks in the video too which is definitely one of the bonuses of the song! |

Freedom is lovely but not a standout in her discography at all. I doubt much of the general public remember it at all so I'm pretty pleased with how well it's done here, it seems like one of her most underrated tracks in general

21st 7.22 Pills N Potions // 10 (Sean, Ultra) // 1 (Lee), 4 (george.keh)
Up next we have one of my favourite Nicki Minaj songs. It isn't groundbreaking by any means I just have memories of listening to this during my freshers year approaching the time I moved out of halls! I don't like some of the editing in the video but some of the simple effective lyrics like "I'm angry but I still love you" and "Yo, people will love you and support you when it's beneficial" which are all the more relatable as well. It's the stripped down less in your face Nicki we get on this and I think that's why I like it so much and gave it a 10. In relation to the album I think it fits with some of the themes on The Pinkprint brilliantly and I think it was the perfect lead just before Anaconda took over and made the era explode. |

I didn't give PnP a 10 what was I thinking? Incredible song You gave it a 9.5 so close enough It is lovely but a bit overshadowed by the more uptempo and exciting tracks on The Pinkprint for me. In that sense, I'm quite glad it was the lead single because I feel it would be pretty overlooked otherwise. |
