I feel like This Is Acting was like a stopgap between two proper eras? See the wigs - she was blonde in 1000 Forms of Fear, half blonde and half black in This Is Acting, and now all black? *random observation* Makes sense with it being an album of songs for other people I guess, I doubt she expected Cheap Thrills to take off so much!

When does Kendrick Lamar even sing or rap on this? I honestly can't hear him in any of the song.
Maybe he just sings "I've got stamina" a few times. Still, I really like this! |

He has a whole verse! The version I listened to at first didn't have him in either, but the iTunes version (and I assume the video) has his verse.
