Hype. HYPE.
Sorry it's so big, I'll edit once I find one that I can embed!
Really excited and hyped for this!
More Samantha Womack please!
As much Taron skin on display possible please!
This has a LOT to live up to, given how incredible the first one is/was. If it can manage a scene as JOYOUS and ABSURD as the firework/exploding heads of the celebs then I'll be pleased, if nothing else.
Official images from the film! Halle looks amazing *-* I'm really buzzed to see Channing Tatum in this too!
First teaser and it looks just as good, some nice looking action scenes and loved the music choice too. Yay at the Julianne Moore first look and Colin Firth tease too
AHHHHHHHH!!! Looks brilliant!
I am slain. Can't wait to see Julianne as a villain *.*
The first movie was my 2nd favourite of 2015 so a lot riding on this, teaser looks really promising!
The first film was incredible, so I'm hyped to see this!
I'm so hyped for this. Tempted to take a half day so I can see it on release day during the day.
First film has become one of my absolute faves. It was so well done I'm just absolutely stoked for this
Hype levels have massively increased after seeing this. How amazing does the action look!! *-* Also living for Julianne Moore already, she looks like she's going to be fun
Despite really enjoying this, and I did, it still felt a little disappointing. I felt it could've been a lot tighter and it didn't need to be as long as it is and I found the story to be a bit thin/weak.
Matthew Vaughan tends to go even more OTT on his sequels and he doesn't change anything in that sense, so that was to be expected, but some of the 'jokes' and crudeness felt a lot more forced than they did in the first.
Other than that, it's still really enjoyable and the cast are all fantastic (as per usual). Julianne really oozes with charisma. She has a way with cameras haha.
7.5 or 8 out of 10 for me. I think with another viewing, I might change it to the higher score.
I don't think this was ever going to live up to the hype, the original was such a huge surprise but the expectations on this have been IMMENSE because of that and even if it was just as good (objectively) it would struggle to amass the same adulation.
I loved this! Very similar to the first really so I guess it doesn't feel quite so refreshing and unique this time but it's still heaps of fun and I had a great time watching it. Taron Egerton & Colin Firth MAKE the film yet again but there are so many great moments, the action scenes are entertainingly choreographed, the plot was bonkers, Julianne Moore was amazing (such a fun character *-*), Elton John was a surprisingly hilarious addition, the gadgets were so cool. Plus, I thought they did a decent job of preventing things from becoming stale and changing them up a bit (for example, with the 'manners maketh man' scene which was obviously borrowed from the first film but had a great twist to it )
I'm praying the box office returns for this are good so we get a third instalment!
On the same page as Jonjo, the first movie was a 10/10 for me and this was more 8/10. The fight scenes were very good, I really liked Julianne and Elton, but it wasn't as fresh or charming, maybe a bit too Americanised?
I wish Colin Firth wasn't back tbh as he had to be one of my least favourite aspects of it. Needed more Samantha Womack instead.
Engaging, tongue-in-cheek(ish), OTT, and a great cast headed by the always loveable Taron. My own faves were Pedro "Game Of Thrones" Pascal and Julianne "Hunger Games" Moore, with a nice cameo from Bruce "Captain Christopher Pike" Greenwood. I do love a sci-fi/fantasy connection..
Not exactly substantial, or outrageously original, but decent enough and great to look at: 6/10.
I thought this was brilliant!
Loved Julianne Moore and Elton John, and thought the American version of them was cool too. Definitely hoping for a 3rd film
