Beyoncé is said to be filming the music video for the first single off of the new album on the 25th and 26th of January! https://twitter.com/musicnews_shade/status/689939785859928064
Queen B is coming.

i got hot sauce in my bag swag *.*

Posted by: burbe 6th February 2016, 09:05 PM

omg TIDAL again. Please stop this.

I really like the song and video though. Feels like a bit of a low key release though.

Posted by: HarryEzra 6th February 2016, 09:07 PM

OMG Loving this so much allready so swag heart.gif

Posted by: ♦ ketalina ♦ 6th February 2016, 09:11 PM

ugh i was just having a conversation with my friend there. i love how beyoncé has totally embraced her roots and has put it into her music, because ever since 'beyoncé' her music has felt SO 100% her... and thats amazing considering like 5-10 years ago people were accusing her of acting white and bleaching lmao. songs like this really tap into her experience unapologetically to the point it's not even braggadocio it's just facts - she runs it all

Posted by: Griff 6th February 2016, 09:26 PM

I was gonna bite my tongue as I don't like people misinterpreting my high standards and well-placed cynicism (teresa.gif), but on first listen, where is the tune? A lot of her songs have worked well because they have that. I really think it would be a mistake to put this out there as a first single although there's a good chance I could be wrong.

Fair play for talking about the issues she does in the song though, I guess.

The video is amazing. The song is amazing. She completely killed it.

Also, YES at it being free. I love that artwork.

The last minute of the song is the best.

Posted by: 💯 6th February 2016, 11:36 PM

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.

Cannot handle this slayage.

Posted by: Noahspike 7th February 2016, 12:58 AM

Woah this came out of nowhere. ohmy.gif

Completely sold! You can't argue against her being the best in the business when she pulls off that song+visuals+performance package. Aesthetically, the entire video's absolutely exquisite. <3

Posted by: Ja˙ 7th February 2016, 01:47 AM

The video is amazing (every set up is *.*), the song is an out and out jam. Killing it!!

Posted by: Mackenzie 7th February 2016, 02:05 AM

video is amazing honestly her visuals are so strong! the song is meh but the lyrics are cute

She just came out swinging AGAIN with this one!

Posted by: Joe. 7th February 2016, 02:33 AM

I think this is already easily my favourite '16 song so far.

The video though, the editing is so slick. You can tell that so much effort has gone into the precision of the concepts of several different sets, routines and looks for B. If this doesn't win all of the VMAS, I will not be happy.

Not only is the whole thing super swag, but it's also intelligent and evocative, from the lyrics to the colonial imagary which is not only striking but is also slightly uncomfortable when you think about it in context. She totally nailed it. I love the use of Blue, too.

Posted by: Jonjo 7th February 2016, 03:07 AM

I'm not big on the song. But that video, you can't deny that! That's a great video.

Posted by: Ja˙ 7th February 2016, 03:33 AM

Joe's already touched upon the lyrics, and here's an article about their importance: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/02/06/beyonce-s-formation-a-fiery-black-power-anthem-and-call-to-arms.html

Posted by: ♦ ketalina ♦ 7th February 2016, 03:38 AM

the first thing i got from one listen of the song was COMPLETE black power (i don't usually pay attention to lyrics but i couldn't help but do it!) and it made me really realise how much she changed with 'Beyoncé' onwards - she's really putting herself into her music for the first time recently and obviously LOOK at the outcome. so so soooo good.

on a face value scale as well i think that 'i got hot sauce in my bag swag' is gonna be another tagline of a lyric that i will obsess over

Posted by: SeanGrey 7th February 2016, 08:57 AM

The song is boring to listen to but the lyrics and the video itself are more interesting!

Posted by: troylovesmusic 7th February 2016, 10:11 AM

The video is AMAZING probably one of her strongest videos ever IMO ! the song is pretty good as well yesssss BEY !

Posted by: Hayzayy 7th February 2016, 10:53 AM

Yay for the video but nay for the song, it's quite boring to listen to and there's nothing for me to want to come back to it.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 7th February 2016, 11:04 AM

I love it... it's like Run The World (lyrically) meets 7/11 (sonically) wub.gif

Posted by: 💯 7th February 2016, 03:26 PM

I'm utterly OBSESSED with this right now. If this is a taste of what Beyoncé has to offer us in 2016 then it's pretty much album of the year already. Beyond words at this point.

I've done a u-turn on it and I actually enjoy the song! It grew on me like "Work" never did laugh.gif

This is AMAZING *.* I heard 7/11 comparisons but this frankly blows that out of the water. What a phenomenal package. Definitely 'aww'd at Blue being in the vid too. HYPED for this era now~

Posted by: burbe 9th February 2016, 06:55 PM

Apparently this is simply a buzz track for the tour announcement and not a single from the new album!

Posted by: Joe. 9th February 2016, 08:38 PM

Do we reckon she'll release it on iTunes on Friday?

Posted by: Froot. 9th February 2016, 11:58 PM

I love how she knows exactly what she's doing/what she wants to do. I think it's particularly great to read about all the work she's done for black people along with Jay-Z (without the need for loads of publicity) and then she releases this to help spread/enforce the message.

Why is the video unlisted on YouTube though? ohmy.gif

Posted by: Slick 10th February 2016, 12:26 AM

I really like this - she has done it yet again. She is the queen of fierce lyrics and videos to match. I find it very similar to 7/11 which I wasn't really fond of, but it's much catchier.

Posted by: 💯 10th February 2016, 07:26 AM

this is already my favourite beyoyo song ever and song of the year. been constantly in my head for 2 days in a row. in 2014 and 2015 my songs of the year were released in january so even though it's february this time, the early bird tradition will probably continue~

I'm yet to find something about this I don't like. P e r f e c t

This is just OUTSTANDING. Aside from the the lyrics, which slay obvi, the beat is just so damn good.

Posted by: Euphorique 10th February 2016, 11:12 PM

I like it a lot but it doesnt beat the Flawless remix for me.
