Saluti, amici and welcome to Vanna Rosa, Quintessa in our first time hosting a contest where we don't force you to enter songs from one specific decade.
We're going to be hosting the contest solo, perthaps due to our incredible unpopularity, although we did manage to win so it kinds of dampens that particular theory.
Below are the main provisos as to which entry you can send, please try and stick to them, remember the less vetoes the quicker the semi opens.
2. Try not to be completely cheap and give the http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=196914 a quick read to see how well your potential fares.
3. Last months Top 3 artists are autobanned they are; Norda & Mike De Ville, Joanna Jones, Steven Wilson, Ninet Tayeb & Tigertown.
4. Also last months non-voters are also autobanned they are; the perennial Republic of Adonia and Beaverdonia. If there are any other non-voting nations from last contest, you are also banned! (I think it's just those two though)
5. And lastly don't repeat the artist you sent last month, sounds obvious but you'd be surprised.

I have confirmed. Bit intimidated by the amount of confirmed countries already tho if it gets vetoed it'd be my first since my very early roots of BJSC where I was a cheap hoe i.e. sending Avicii & David Guetta - Sunshine or Adam Young (as remixer of LIGHTS' Saviour; if only they told me the original would have not been vetoed!!!)
btw my lead artist HASN'T been sent in before, when I looked in the list I almost thought it had but there's a letter difference

I've reconfirmed...I had three options that I really liked but I wasn't 100% sold on any of them. So as we run up to the iconic 100th contest/10th anniversary, I think that in the absence of anything new leaping out at me and shouting 'send me', I'm going to keep sending songs that mean a lot to me/that I've always meant to send at some point during the contest's history.

I think after listening to what I sent and the rest of my potentials I think I'm settled with my song. It sounds like nothing I've sent before, it's a bit more subdued, which I think is a bit risky judging by my streak, but I hope it will appeal to people! Mind you, I got the idea to send it while I was watching Teen Wolf, so

I can help out with the mp3 packs if noone else volunteers, but the timing of the semis is really not the best for me, as I'm travelling Tuesday morning and will be back only on Thursday in the evening (so the mp3 packs would be ready only on Friday). So if anyone could do them earlier, go for it!

Buzzjack Mountain submitted yesterday, it is a song we found on Beatport that we really like with a darker sound than we have gone with so far (in terms of an entry its definitely more Jadakissnian in style than typical Buzzjack Mountainian!)

South Danaelanda's neighbouring countries are Syndare, Daehun and Bignia-Zaragovina. Being next to two moderating nations is a big help to funding the S-DISCC (South Danaelandan International Song Contest Committee) but we don't allow their 'taste' to seep over to our homeland.

I didn't deliberately pick it because it sounded Jadakissnian as part of a cunning plan to emulate their success with their dark atmospheric entries

Where did you find these funky house songs, do you look on beatport? There is a funky house section there but a lot of the songs are a bit of a mess there tbh, too fast with annoying chopped vocals. There are always some gems to be found though.

I found one in my 'Discover Weekly' playlist on Spotify, then looked it up on YouTube and found more through its recommended videos! I've never used Beatport before

I haven't done this since BJSC 84 but here we go... I've just reconfirmed! Fell in love with an R&B song that gives me Aaliyah vibes (
) and I really want to share it with the BJSC masses, especially as I rarely dabble in this genre. The reason I'm insistent on sending it now is that it's very new whereas my original entry is from a few years ago so less likely to get snatched next month hope this will be alright 'cause she hasn't had any commercial success and doesn't really have much of a BJ fanbase at all.

I feel kinda similarly about my entry (minus the part about Pupok, and it sounds more like an Aeroche entry from 4 or 5 years ago). I'm hoping it won't end up only being me that loves it. Looking forward to sharing it anyway as I can 100% guarantee no one would have ever heard it otherwise. x

It's rare to leave it so late to dish out vetoes for songs sent several days ago but unfortunately exceptional circumstances made it the case this month.
It's only 3 contests out of date though, this was sent 25 contests ago! Earlier this year we moved our focus away from updating the songs of and instead are transforming it into a much more accessible and new way of displaying it!

To be fair we do say pretty religiously that you can be vetoed at any time right up until the semis open and even then I'd give it 48hrs to be sure

We will have a new songs of thread for you ahead of 99 for finalists that will be v.quickly updated from now on. Should have the semi finalist in ahead of 101. Work has been a lil hectic lately with a lot of long hours but it's just a fortnight till our new people start so the end is in sight!

Yeah I sent Sutrastore - Zero Point (came fairly close to that tbf x) which had registered ZERO views when I first stumbled upon it, it was on one of those "[artist] - Topic" channels that some artists have on YouTube which I don't think gather many views for whatever reason. Also it got taken down during the contest so I re-uploaded it myself and that also has only like 30 views right now lol

I just read all the Kylienips drama, jade and bre having a meltdown, and the shade on top of that Cody thought I was Helgon btw who the f*** is Helgon, did I miss something while I was away.
