Average at best for her acting skills. Right now Kylie needs all her energy for her music career, she needs to work hard on her next album and nail it to win back her declining sales.

She's been working hard on her music for years now, she deserves to have a break and pursue what she wants.

Wow those PWL albums look beaut heart.gif But soo expensive. I'll wait until the prices go down or there is a CD that's in good condition on amazon.

I agree with your sentiment. Her music has been getting very generic over the years and I think she needs some inspiration to massively enhance her musical appeal. Perhaps acting is a way to do it.

I wouldn't call her music generic, it's gotten a bit safe, but not generic.

Agreed, if it was generic, it would sound like other songs in the charts and be successful in the charts.

Being generic doesn't always mean that though. It can also mean that that music is nondescript & lacking in character, which doesn't necessarily equate to sounding like what is popular in the mainstream!

Oh dear. Not received mine as they haven't been despatched from Amazon yet. Which versions have issues? I've ordered deluxe sets of all four albums.

Please elaborate on the DVD glitches.

The main issue I have seen in forums so far is that an alternate version of Got To Be Certain is used as the main video (however, the actual "final video" appears as a bonus).

Also, one person said the audio seemed slightly out of sync with the video, but others said they played perfectly.

I received my CD/DVD deluxe box sets today. I am very impressed with the quality of the boxes and packaging. The booklets are really nice and full of narrative and pictures. The sound quality is good. I haven't watched the DVDs yet so cant comment on that. Yes they are expensive though compared to recent reissues from the likes of Lisa Stansfield and Donna Summer.

Well its good to see these being stocked in HMV and Fopp etc and cheaper than online... 19.99 in HMV and 20 in Fopp. I am hoping at least one of them gets a top 100 position in Uk charts, even if 99th though not sure.

^ The Deluxe Editions are £18.99 each on the PWL-empire store, unless p&p makes them more expensive overall?

I'd be surprised if they went Top 100, they're pretty niche & overpriced (imo). Maybe they will but I'm not confident about that. I remember Bananarama reissues didn't rechart in the Top 200 despite appearing in the midweeks & retailing for less.

diditagain - My friend merely wrote "The videos are out of sync and have glitches" but didn't expand on that, sorry. I just read on Twitter that someone was having problems with the menu on one of the DVDs though.

By the way, just had a look on Twitter at the Collector's Edition Box Sets (the most expensive ones with the picture discs included) and they look amazing!

I think all 4 might just scrape in to the Top 75 - well I hope so! We might get some up-to-date total sales for the albums if they do

It would be great if they chart but I doubt they will break the top75. I wonder if her Decon albums will be reissued again at some point?

I ordered the 2CD/DVD deluxe sets way back in August and have eagerly anticipated their release since. I love the presentation and designs of them; the Rhythm of Love one is particularly nice with the glossy, gold 'Kylie' font.

That looks chronic considering most sales would've come from pre-orders & you'd expect the positions to fall as the week progresses.
Apparently some Amazon sales are missing from yesterday's midweeks though which might help a little
